As the one who wrote the bulk of that, let me get across what happened with Vade. A cliff's notes version, if you will.
Vade was another fake-trans cult leader - imagine a sort of Nora-on-Tumblr, if you will.
At one point, she had thousands of followers, and through those followers, had enormous power - she could rally attacks against people without restraint and without a scrap of remorse - and because most of her targets were young and vulnerable, she and her team got drunk off easy wins. Her followers helped her gain control of (and subsequently, ruin) a blog that had heretofore had largely been used to out rapists and sex criminals in the furry fandom - and which under her leadership became just a giant platform for her to scream at people from. She had previously declared herself the god of the TF2 fandom, and subsequently, the furry fandom, despite having no relevance in either and god help the poor schleb who pointed out that she was nothing so divine.
It's not an understatement to say that people were genuinely terrified of her on Tumblr, and she led mass-harassment campaigns across Tumblr over accusations of misogyny, transphobia, and racism. In other words, she was a lot like Nora. Then, one day, the Tumblrites that weren't pants-on-head retarded brought Vade to the Farms' attention, and posed a simple question:
"Is Vade a lolcow?"
The answer, of course, was yes. And what happened next was a thing of beauty.
We made fun of her, and Vade for the first time ran into a group she couldn't shame, couldn't threaten, and couldn't compete with. It didn't stop her from trying; she threw her followers at us in wave attacks before finally joining the forum herself, solely because we were laughing at the idiot who was claiming she was an otherkin multiple system with headmates and that these headmates included video game characters. Vade hated us so much that she spawned a new headmate that the Kiwi Farms immediately adopted and claimed was our illegitimate child. She theatened suicide and we responded by calling the police.
All because we laughed at her.
And that's all we did: Laugh at her. It was enough. Someone having the balls to laugh at someone who by all accounts, wasn't worth a damn, and that's all it took to tear the heart out of her little empire. Her follower count plummeted, her power base broke entirely, and those who were once afraid of her now mock her without fear. Within a year, none of her power-base was left and she struggles for relevance in a world where she has none.
And so the cycle shall repeat.
I don't deny that Nora has the potential to grow out of this and move on - but in the history of this forum, no lolcow ever has.

The thing about gender being a social construct is that it leaves it to society to construct and enforce it. Not a bunch of bored teenage idiots on tumblr. Western society has two genders which strongly correspond to biological sex ; some pacific and asian cultures have a third. That's it. No culture known to mankind has an entrenched system of thirty overlapping genders. Trannyitis is first and foremost a profound feeling that you simply don't fit into the entrenched societal expectations of your gender, and belong in a different one. You can't have some kind of dormant biological condition where you've always been part of a gender that nobody knew existed until you discovered it on tumblr, because social constructs don't exist unless being enforced by the society you're immersed in. Even if you've read about them on tumblr and they sort of make sense to you ; you can't be a weird fruity tumblrgender and expect to be taken seriously any more than I can talk about my levels of Gravitas ; because while the concept of Gravitas is known, it does not exist in modern western society and neither do any genders besides 'man' and 'woman'.
On a side note, I expect that in the future we'll see clinical diagnoses of racial dysphoria and maybe even class dysphoria or age dysphoria, and as medical conditions they'll parallel strongly with gender dysphoria ; the feeling that you belong in a different socially defined category than the one you've been assigned to by society. I will take them far more seriously than I take any kind of 'genderfluid' or altgender garbage (at least, until tumblr retards start inventing new races and classes and non-linear aging spectrums to identify with)

1. Nora attacked Randi first, because Randi added her and her friends to a blocklist after Nora (ironically) sic'd a hate group on Jesse Singal over some article about some doctor who treats transvestites or something.
2. Nora is Cis. I would say "Enby" is just as much a gender as "attack helicopter", except for the fact that attack helicopters actually exist.
3. Holy shit her support network is ugly as fuck, no wonder she doesn't use the word "friends" to describe her closest confidants.
