Career office schlub here! We would have weeded her out pretty early on. Even with the current staffing shortages, we middle-aged career bitches don't suffer chronic complainers or outright attention whores gladly, especially when coupled with the absolute laziness that we know Chelsea possesses. We (almost unintentionally) would make things so awful and awkward that someone like Chelsea wouldn't last very long. She would quit in a huff before we even got to know her well enough to find out about her SM. Even large offices have a way of herding out the weak links.

There are medicalized beds with higher rails for dementia patients, and those with a high escape/fall risk, as well as bed nets to keep them safe. And fall rugs, just in case. But nothing for all those poor SPS sufferers who involuntarily launch themselves to the floor.

PLing and trying not to get too MATI: I have a client who is on her death bed right now, and has somehow held on for 3 weeks now on nothing but sub q fluids for hydration. She's unresponsive, of course. Because that's what happens when you're dying and on comfort care and hydration only. So let me press X for her story of no food or water for 5 weeks.

I don't understand how it helps to go to an out-of-area hospital. Maybe in the olden days, but aren't hospitals all using systems like Epic now? And even if they don't use Epic specifically, you'd think some of her medical history would transfer and that she's probably made the rounds to all the hospitals within a fairly-reasonable driving distance of Minneapolis. I guess she hasn't gotten any of her "rescue meds" so she is indeed blacklisted, but I can't believe she hasn't been thrown out of any of these places by security. How do hospitals handle relentless malingerers?

I love how she tried to say that she needs high doses of meds which proves she has SPS. No, it just proves you have tolerance because you are a fucking junkie.

She is really working hard to pile up her munchie creds with EDS, MCAS, SPS, and she used to say that she had PERM but she must have read up on it and found out that it is rapidly fatal and has very distinct symptoms that she does not have, so she couldn't pull that one off, so she just forgot she had it.

I like her idea of having a special agency that you can call on the weekends to munch to so someone can drive right over any time you need it and give you the meds you request for your fix. That's a great idea, I can't think of a way to possibly better to spend healthcare dollars.
