Do you all subscribe to anything?
I got the EAPlay for Titanfall (which is busted), old Battlefield (also busted), and Madden (it's really cool). Was looking at Ubisoft, and on one hand $15 a month is really high for a streaming service, but you basically get everything Far Cry, Watch_Dogs, Assassin's Creed, Anno, and anything else you can think of, even the newer stuff. But the downside is, $15. It seems like a really good deal if you play a game of theirs per month, but that's a ton of time.

Just got gamepass - £1 for first month. I'm playing Plague Tale Requiem and then willtry Atomic Heart.

YouTube premium, because you can sign up using a VPN connection through Argentina and only play $2/month. That's worth it to strip out the ads for me.

you can get most of ubisofts stuff for a few bucks (they even had a humblebundle at some point), even if you play an ubisoft game per month (you won't) you'll come out even if not cheaper without sub. no idea about madden but EA tends do dump their games for cheap after they flop, and also does trials (dunno if they do for 2042, but iirc it's on an account level where you basically get the full game and lose access after 10 hours).

subscriptions are almost never worth it, even stuff like $1 for gamepass is because it's heavily subsidized or due to workarounds. once that stops it's gonna be as crap as the rest - but at least it won't fuck retails sales as much anymore.

I buy the games I'm actually interested in. subscription services are cursed because 90% of the shit on them is the gaming equivalent of goyslop. I would not waste my valuable time and brain cells on any of EA or Ubi's main franchise games even if they were free

I used to subscribe to Humble bundle for a few years but realized that even if it was cheap, i now had codes for a hundred games I had never played. So i canceled that.

Closest thing I have to a game subscription is the Curious Correspondence club. A monthly envelope of narratively linked puzzles mailed to my door. I have no interest in actual gaming subscriptions right now.

>pay money to youtube to avoid ads

I don't understand why anyone would pay google to remove ads from youtube when there's plenty of free alternatives to the official app or site that do just that.

Doesn’t work on phones, though.

Because I mainly watch it on my TV.

Not at all. The entire internet has become a subscription service now and I refuse to partake in it.
