i graduated university just in time to miss the pharma epidemic. i noticed pills here and there but it was not really a thing like alcohol/pot/mushrooms. i loved drugs but not enough to make them a regular part of my life. what does a benzo withdrawal look like? i am picturing trainspotting but that was heroin and i have been out of the loop for over a decade

I knew a guy (friends’ dad) who was quitting clonazepam (also a benzo), and it made him talk like he’d had a stroke.

Xanax is a anxiolytic as opposed to a hypnotic benzo, so withdrawal makes you feel severe anxiety and panic attacks plus all the other common symptoms.

• Heart palpitations
• Muscle pain
• Seizures
• Insomnia
• Paranoia
• Sweating
• Headaches
• Nausea
• Panic attacks
• Tremors

Also, since Ralph has been abusing them for nearly a decade, and now eats them like candy. Withdrawal symptoms could last legitimately years. However, most commonly it lasts a couple months and starts after 10-12 hours(for Xanax).
