The Ghostbusters lawsuit had nothing to do with unsolicited submissions. It was a copyright infringement suit. Again, Russ can't tell the difference between things in the same category, but that are distinct.
It's also excellent strategy to, immediately after someone tells you exactly what they their serious concerns about crazy, obsessive, bogus lawsuit-happy crazies to respond exactly like exactly that crazy.

I hope she Googled him right after blocking him, realized he's probably already typing up a complaint, and then went to demand a pay raise.

Russell's mind is so fucking simplistic and unnuanced.

"Record companies engage in lawsuits all the time, it's no different!"

That's it. That's literally his argument. In his mind, a lawsuit is a lawsuit. Criminal, civil, what's the big deal? A suit's a suit. Just like a whore is a whore, flowers are flowers, dinner is dinner, and every other stupid thing Russ believes.

He's literally said "a college degree is a college degree" when he was trying to prove he knew more about the law than someone he was arguing with. He has an associates in applied science in paralegal studies. His "opponent" had a JD.

No difference in his diseased brain. So what if you're a brain surgeon who spent 18 years in med school? He went to mall school for like, a quarter of that time, and he got a degree too! It's basically the same thing!

He couldn't tell the difference between fine dining and McDonalds if his life depended on it. Food is food, what's the difference?

I like that Russ edited it 3 times and never noticed the "6 food unsolicited wall"

It sounds like the infamously corrupt Food Pyramid

His argument is basically "musicians get sued all the time, so why worry about getting sued for copyright infringement for accepting unsolicited songs?" Russ, you carb-loaded failure of multi-celled organism, the idea is to MINIMIZE risk. By not accepting unsolicited songs, the artists and publishers close off a potential avenue for lawsuits. Some suits are unavoidable, the kind that would result from accepting unsolicited songs are not, so they're avoided.

No no no! Don't you understand. By not accepting unsolicited songs and stories they are violating the rights of the handicapped. They have a duty to sit there and be sued by Russel so he can be promoted to fame and glory.

He's actually said he thinks those policies are there solely to keep people from breaking into the music industry,

the thing is, unsolicited submissions from randoms are generally worthless garbage. even if the lawsuit risk was zero, it would still not be worth accepting them, because it's just not worth anybodys time to read them.

I love when one week Russ gets mad & insults a woman then the next week he starts telling her he loves her as he did with DBC YUNA and her other account.
It's like he has no memory of his actions.
He has been trying to get the blue checkmark on fb & ig for a while, any thoughts on if he will join the subscription plan coming to the platform so he can be more " famous ".

on the one hand, russ is obsessed with self promotion so he will probably want it
but on the other hand, it costs like 10 bucks a month, which is big money for russ
could go either way

Russ is actually a perfect example of the worthlessness of such submissions as well as an example of the lawsuit risk. As usual, the asshole doesn't realize he's exactly the asshole the policy is made for.

It's more if you're too much of a loser even to get a rep, you're not even worth talking to. Professionals want to deal with professionals, not retards.

I know I've had my tickets reserved for months.

Front row center, right in the splash zone.

Video is just the clip that's been on Instagram for ages.
Sing the song yourself Russ! You don't need to hire no damn vocalist. Those lyrics came from your heart and you should bless us all with a true rendition.

My biggest question is who's he going to get to sing it?

Zachary Staines, the vocalist he paid to record it, is Australian and probably not going to fly halfway around the world to some open mic night in Vegas just to sing a one song set about how Russ can't get laid.

He'll probably just get The Accommodations back together for a reunion tour. Probably without the stripper because he can't seem to stop bugging her.

Russtard is a retard. He doesn't understand how these two things are different.

Yes because a BA in "Women's Studies" or "Communications" is the exact same thing as a PhD in Astrophysics. Why not? They're both college degrees.

The retardation from his man is intense.
