Shoplifting Tumblrinas

I don't get these guys. If they do manage to 'destroy capitalism' (not likely as they have more in common with Swiper from Dora the Explorer than Solid Snake), wouldn't they just have their (stolen) stuff stolen by people who take advantage of the period of anarchy after a government falls? By posting their stuff on tumblr, they're just going, "HERE'S MY FANCY STUFF I STOLE COS FUCK THE SYSTEM! FEEL FREE TO STEAL THEM IF YOU CAN!" to actual robbers.

My opinion on this is "An eye for an eye, and the whole world goes blind".

Nah, they're those people that think once society collapses, why of COURSE the new one that arises will be 100% in line with their socio-political views and will undoubtedly defer to them as it's new ruling class. The idea that something WORSE may come along and leave them even MORE disenfranchised does NOT compute.

Same thinking that drives the sovcits, we'd have utopia if we'd just smash the rotten system that prevents it!

No you see, you can't steal from THEM because that's not anti-capitalist and therefore wrong.

These types of people are rotten brats who don't care about the consequences of their actions. They've never had to work a job they didn't like, never had to go without basic necessities, were likely never told to shut the fuck up by their parents, and have never experienced genuine struggle. They embody what it means to be privileged. I'm also willing to bet that many of the store owners these champagne revolutionaries have stolen from were part of "oppressed groups" they claim to speak for.

Or, alternatively, why don't they do the easiest thing of all and NOT steal from or rip anybody off? It's been pretty clearly established that none of these assholes are poor, so it's hardly like this is a matter of survival.

If you can't afford to buy a pet, you can't afford to keep a pet. If you aren't responsible enough to acquire a pet legally then you sure as hell aren't responsible enough to care for a pet. I would be more concerned if I actually believed any of these people stole those cats, and if I doubted that all of those animals are being perfectly well cared for by these people's poor parents as they wonder where on earth they went wrong.
