That's a good point.

One thing they constantly repeat is that you can't claim allyship status yourself, it has to be conferred on you by others in the group you are allied with. So they can't be only targeting allies, because by definition a good ally has never declared themselves to be one. Rather they just assume everyone in their target demographic is obliged to be a good ally, and attack if they are not acting like it.

Another useful replacement for the word "ally" would be "person who wants to be safe from our bullying".

You can already see it in the way they throw the word "cis" around as the slur they came up with for sane and normal people. Most people, having no notion of what these people mean by the term ally, think it means, "Being a good person and kind to those unfortunate wretches."

The correct term is useful idiot.

"Vassal" and "slave" might seem like accurate terms, but they don't get across that allyship useful idiocy is voluntary for the big tasks trans people want help with, like showing up to protests and sharing social media posts. A person who does these things can never be convinced they're a slave because they know they can leave the movement at any time. They are a useful idiot precisely because they don't.

For that reason alone, you'll sound like less of a sperg when saying it. It's easier to explain why someone's being a useful idiot than explain why they're being a vassal, or why they're being an ally and why that's a bad thing.

You can replace "ally" with useful idiot in almost any piece of writing about social justice, and the meaning of the sentence remains the same. I mean, it's not as if the activists don't see their so-called allies as useful idiots. If it really goes against a person's class interests to dismantle their privilege as a privileged person, that person would need to be some kind of idiot.

And to prove my point in a humorous way, I took a GLAAD page with Brave's Inspect tool and replaced every instance of "ally" with "useful idiot" to make it say what they're actually thinking.

This video appeared in my recommended for some reason, as many other "J. K. Rowling bad" essays do. Of course, the whole thing seemed to me at first glance like a poorly disguised attempt to discredit Rowling even further, and judging by the comment section, that's pretty much what it is.
