Porn and Porncows

No you don't necessarily stop punishing people for it.
My point is I believe a better approach would be to move culturally in the direction where people openly work against things like pron instead of wanting the government to grow bigger.
Being shunned by society at large can be a very powerful punishment all on it's own.
But thats just me wanting to err on the side of less government whenever possible.
Look if it doesn't work I'll be the first one to make a pilgrimage to the nearest ditch full of coomers and make a heartfelt apology. I'm just saying we need to consider all our options.

Simply banning porn producers from financial networks would absolutely cripple domestic porn producers.
Some problems:
1. Do you really want to give financial institutions that much power (if they do this electively), or give the government that much power (if they mandate it)?
2. Porn creators will just switch to cryptocurrency and crowdfunding.

Not if they're sharing a ditch with their customer base they won't.
yep
majority won't 'just move underground' either, cause that would mean losing their position in life. the lifestyle of an 'honest' law abiding businessman is very different from the lifestyle of an outlaw sex trafficker who constantly has to worry about someone ratting him out, getting caught, going to jail for a long time, plus all the other worries that come with a life of crime (need to bother with money laundering, must keep track of all the lies you have to tell to to avoid causing suspicion, have to deal with shady and dangerous people who might rip you off and you have no legal recourse, etc)
also no more award shows, no more publicity and fame, no more illusions of glamour, no more open mingling with high society

Considering she's been in the industry for approximately 20 years, I'd say she enjoys it. I remember her early days when she went by Darling.
Her husband is Matt Williams right? He was the rigger (guy setting up all of the restraints/bondage/tying up) for Kink in its heyday.

Ooo I'll have to read up on this later. Thanks for the link.
Allegedly? I just rememer the only claims being on PornWikiLeaks and after PWL died, the claim hasn't surfaced again.

Honestly, that site going down was a shame.
Man I loved PWL too. Whoarehunters was a great replacement until it all went to shit out of the blue. Wish I had known before the axe fell to back it all up.

And yet plenty of people choose to live that life everyday. This isn't really a deterrent. And the majority won't even have to go underground; they'll just move to a jurisdiction where porn production is legal. I can imagine some countries would even embrace being "porn havens" for the money it brings.

Look, porn has been with mankind since we lived in caves and drew on the walls. It has always been with us and will always be with us. Trying to ban it now is stupid and impractical. So lets just drop these delusions of a porn free world that will never exist and get back to what this thread is supposed to be about, which is talking about porncows and current events in porn.

While i do wish that pornography was banned, its unfortunately an impossibility at this point so I can agree with it being too optimistic and impractical to illegalize and ban it now. However I think the best and most possible way for porn to be banned or at least become less common is for it to be removed from mainstream popularity like how it was back in the 90's-early 2000's. Have porn be banned from the major social media platforms and all accounts relating or reposting shit related to porn. (including porn/hentai artists and the coomtards who constantly repost their shit on the platforms) be banned. That way all porn is restricted to porn websites only. Filter any mention of porn sites as well so no one can advertise it to children or teens. This is probably the best way for porn to be banned in a way at least.

so have murder, arson, theft. never stopped people from banning them either.
Murder arson and theft we can mitigate in a practical way, and these actions are so dangerous to life, liberty and property that they must be dealt with. There is no practical way to limit the reach of porn and its a fools errand to try. As long as people have two hands with which to draw, take pictures, paint, etc., a mind with which to think up scenarios and human lust to drive interest, porn will always exist. Period. Unless you want to toss your rights away and try to create a North Korea style state just to try to police porn.

I'm afraid we are way past that point. The genie's out of the bottle, or, the cat's out of the bag, as they say. The sexual revolution has been a disaster for modern society, but we can't turn back the clock and try to the go back to the 50s.

Social media already sucks at filtering CP. You really think having them filter ALL PORN or even mentions of it is remotely practical?

Cool, you can just go and jack off to some cave paintings then, you fucking coomer.

Even if someone was to pass a law banning pornography, you would still run into the problem of defining what pornography was. Is it movies where there is explicit sexual intercourse? Simulated sexual intercourse? People simply being naked? Beer ads featuring women in bikinis?

Is a Playboy centerfold more harmful than a sexually explicit hentai manga?

I dunno, bro, I kinda feel like you're being a bit willingly obtuse here. When you're debating what's more harmful - this soft-focus Playboy magazine shoot from 1976 of a smiling woman baring her breasts vs. whatever scene LegalPorno shot last week of some sobbing Eastern European teenager getting slapped around, taking four gigantic black cocks in her anus until it prolapses and then being pissed all over - I imagine they'll probably only be one winner.

They already have the power to ban businesses that are illegal/that they disapprove of. For one thing, they're not mandated to allow any business an account or use of payment processors just because the business wants one. Ask the legal marijuana growers/dispensaries.

2. Porn creators will just switch to cryptocurrency and crowdfunding.

No, they won't. Way too much effort. They're even less likely to use crowdfunding sites, whose UA already allow banning/refusal of service for any reason or for no reason at all.

This is true. Shit, one reason Mindgeek has become so powerful and prominent is that their employees don't actually need to touch the porn, themselves. They just code and run algorithms, no need to soil themselves by being more deeply entrenched in the dirtiest business on earth. They're allowed to pretend that their hands are clean. Strip away that level of self-delusion and a not-insignificant number will quit, whether from legal pressure or social pressure.

But it won't be done here, victimizing our citizens.

Let me stop you right there. No one has a 'right' to produce and, especially, to sell pornography.

Solutions could and would be found, if it were in social media companies' financial/social interest to find them.

I think what @popnloch ness monster is advocating is a wee bit more straight forward than Prohibition.. You know the way Opium use was a blight in China for nearly two centuries, then all of a sudden it wasn't anymore. I think he's aiming towards that solution, and I for one would be willing to give it a try.
have you ever looked up the history of opium? why is a substance known for over 2000 years suddenly an issue for two centuries and only in one big country in asia? is that the fault of opium which was used for over 2000 years all over the world? maybe there's a reason the whole world used it since then besides getting high, but why aren't we all addicts right now?

or put it this way, how to people become coomers? why do people become gooners that they make pron their whole personality? why is it only a problem with porn and not all the other shit that happens in society, like the excessive consoomerism (which the coomershit is an aspect of) and people getting more and more retarded? while we're at it, who becomes a coomer? yuropoors and asia were always more open to sex and pornography, but why is it america going full retard with it in 2 centuries compared to the 20+ in the rest of the world? lots of humanity has enjoyed jerking off to some naked tits forever, but there's a reason we're not living a constant orgy. heck why aren't you a coomer right now?

blaming a single thing for all of society's ills is retarded, and "let's just ban it, this will definitely turn the world into a 1950's conservative christian fantasy" even more so. I get it, it's so much fucking easier than taking a hard look at the cause and get off that retarded burger (it's not even anglo) mentality to see how other countries and cultures handle it and why. just ban everything everyone has an issue with and logically it must all end up perfectly, right?

this isn't meant as a defense of porn, like everything else in life you need a healthy balance and moderation. there are good reasons a 12 year shouldn't have access to unrestricted hardcore porn without context, for the same reasons a 12yo shouldn't have a gun or vote. but that raises the question who is in charge of that 12 year old...?
I'm with you there's lot of shit off the rails, but to "fix" it you'd need to start from the bottom and stick to it because it will be a long process, and no one wants to do that, let alone for themselves when they can blame anything else.

so have murder, arson, theft. never stopped people from banning them either.
cool, we're playing retard bingo. why are the death penalty, war and taxes still a thing then?

If actual scrutiny of the industry was done in the open, and laws regarding sexual violence and exploitation were applied consistently, then banning porn would be a non-issue since its prevalence would shrink to a fraction of what it s today.

My main reason for being against a total ban however, is that in principle there’s nothing inherently wrong with distributing depictions of consenting adults, the issues with it are more indirect. It would be treating a symptom rather than the disease. Also, deciding what is and isn’t ”pornography” has been difficult for lawmakers, and it would become a trojan horse for restrictions of free expression and moral policing. Which has already been the case, to an extent.

Yes I'm sure we have much to learn from other countries and cultures about cooming, what with their much worse situations re: rape and pedophilia and weird ass fetishes. How much do you know about sexual cultures outside Borgerland because it sure seems like you don't know shit about the way things are in Africa, the Near East, Asia etc.
