Nothing says modern SA like twisting oneself to doing the dumbest thing because of a completely hypothetical scenario where some mythical idiot might misconstrue the thing in some manner. It's the logical end conclusion of this current culture where everyone is too afraid of doing anything creative because somebody might not like it.

sadly turning off QCS really did limit drama, The PYF Goon saga thread is like a little island where goons complain about bad goons in other forums.

But games cant talk about harry potter because goons get performative about how bad JK rowling is.

Then GBS had a thread and mods just shut it down.

Also sadly we didnt get a page after page of goons talking about how menstruating people need to shut up

It's funny how at first they were like "ok you can talk about the game, BUT BEWARE, you will be mercilessly mocked for being a chud if you do! Enter the OWN ZONE at your own peril! (and don't you dare say anything positive about Rowling, obvs)", and then it turned out even that setup was too triggering for the troons of Games.

Massive drama incoming:

The brainiacs running the site have decided to close the GBS Ukraine war thread because they need to appease the whinging commie troons in CSPAM who make way worse jokes about killing every man woman and child in Ukraine because they think Putin will reinstate the USSR and pay them for sitting around playing videogames while they take titty skittles it wasn't a good fit for the forum and they need to review some problematics posts

This came completely out of the blue, there wasn't any controversy or major development in the GBS thread, it was just the usual thing of reposting poorly sourced things on twitter, people calling others dumb for poorly sourced stuff and general banter about the war and people involved. The Mods have obviously had it out against the GBS thread for ages now because CSPAM are mad that non-tankies and genuine Eastern Europeans may be on the site who think they are pieces of shit, they've frequently interfered in the thread basically everytime somebody makes fun of CSPAM and its orbiters for their retarded talking points.

Nobody is happy about this, the old GBS posters have been told to take it to DnD, which of course is a no fun allowed zone with far more stringent moderation and no time at for any levity or jokes, accordingly there's been a bit of an uprising in the DnD thread for people to express their discontent at the obvious hypocrisy about how the admins and mods threat CSPAM with kid gloves because they are worried that they'll alienate that sweet tankie paypig:
