Social Justice Warriors - Now With Less Feminism Sperging

Now why would blogs and websites go after real issues when they can grab fruit that's so low hanging it almost touches dirt. No prophet can be made from tackling issues like equal rights in the Middle East when you can just slap a slide show of cutscenes together and throw out a buzzword every minute or so. SJW
speak about rape culture yet what they don't mention is in Africa and the Middle East corrective rape happens and is widely accepted. People in Iran face the death penalty or a forced sex change because of their sexual orientation.
3rd wave feminism speaks like the first world is the worst thing imaginable yet there is no right that men have that women don't.

I would like to see a blog or article that encourage women to seek more labour intensive work such as the construction industry instead of just STEM. Heavy industry pays a good salary and is pretty satisfying work from what people have told me who work in it.
That, and you're competing against BBC, Reuters, New York Times, etc. But yeah, these people could do with trying to do charity drives for the victims and bring awareness to people like that girl who was beat and then burned to death in Pakistan for refusing a proposal, or the 19 women who were burned alive by ISIS for refusing sex.

Do they want more stoplight parrotfish representation?

Is anybody genuinely getting upset over this?
Me. Because I'm fucking tired of people discussing every single big animated movie of last 2 years if it's homophobic, sexist or have hidden racist message. Stop, please.
But I've didn't seen anybody complaining about possible suggested minor lesbian characters in this trailer, only SJWs complaining about those non-existent complaints.

Anyway the internet promises to connect one to a global audience, but most use it to interact with people who are less diverse than people they would meet on the street.
Sadly it's true. In internet you usually haver contact with people similar to you or complete weirdos. And people think everybody is like you or man who married plush pony.

And apparently we need to lie about history to make it more inclusive.

I'll summarise: The lead writer of Doctor Who, Steven Moffat, says that it is important to lie about history to make it more inclusive. He's talking more about TV shows like Doctor Who rather than history books. For example, putting black people in medieval Scandinavia or making multi-cultural societies where none would have existed in the name of inclusion because making history friendly is more important than accuracy or authenticity.

He also wants Doctor Who to have two black lead characters because that would make it better somehow.

I really don't understand this like of thinking, that changing a character's race somehow improves the work. If James Bond was black, how would that improve the story? He would still be the same character with the same job fighting the same bad guys. It makes no sense.
A black Doctor would still be a Time Lord with a TARDIS. How does changing his race do anything but break continuity?

A black James Bond wouldn't make a lot of sense because James Bond is always the same guy, so continuity.

I don't watch Dr. Who, is there any "canonical" reason in that show that he couldn't be a black dude? All I know about it is apparently in the show when the actor changes it's Dr. Who taking a new form because he's some kind of god-like space alien who can change his appearance or some shit.

Basically what I'm saying that is, AFAIK, Dr. Who is, like, one of the few examples where the main character suddenly being a different race actually makes sense, or at least is possible to explain without it being pandering. But "Let's make James Bond/Wolverine/Luke Skywalker black just because" is... silly.

I have a radical idea, why not make a show that takes place in an area and time where there happened to have been little to no white people around. Why fuck with history when actual history can be entertaining if you are willing to take a chance. I wouldn't mind seeing more shows taking place in Africa or south America. Heck you can even try importing shows that are already made and staring non-white people. This way you will actually be supporting the people making good shit. A few minutes in google brought these links up.

There are also no shortage of movies made in Bollywood.

No, the problem with this idea is that it's not enough that these people should succeed—others, which means their perceived oppressors in this case, should fail. What they want is "characters beloved by the majority because they're like them should be non white/female/trans/queer/whatever the fuck the Minority of the Day is and there's nothing they can do about it", but they totally disregard the fact that nobody in the world is as obsessed with 'representation' as them to the point where they find it more important than rights for actual people in those minorities.

Some of the African tv shows had white characters so they don't count

Isn't there a guy who wants to make an "African Game of Thrones"? I would legit be interested in watching a fantasy series that drew from African myths, no joke.
Marlon James. The guy who wrote the 2015 Booker Award for A Brief History of Seven Killings. I started a thread on it here.

It's laziness really. Introducing new characters is too hard. Trying to understand a Korean soap is difficult. Watching a film set in Nigeria, staring Nigerians is hard. It is far, far easier to take an established character like the Doctor or James Bond or Spiderman, and change them into a black person. All it needs to succeed is to piggyback off the success of those who came before it. There is less risk of it failing because the expectation is that the old fans will carry though and if they don't you can just call them racists who's opinions don't matter because they are racists.

Plus there is the cultural gap. Most modern day folks can grasp the flow of shows like GoT which is set in a pseudo-European medieval setting most are familiar with but setting something in ancient Africa? Who can related to that? Not most Americans for sure.

How many people could even tell you where in Africa Nigeria is?

Your potential viewer pool would be pretty small

Pretty much. The people demanding the next Bond to be female aren't interested in seeing a great movie about a female spy. Those films already exist, they're not interested. They instead take the laziest form of activism, which is using twitter to wish that they can see minority actors without having to watch something new or different. They feel guilty that the media they consume is dominated by white males, but they'd rather stick to it than watch something produced in Japan

SJWs claim to care about films starring nonwhite people but can't be bothered to seek out or support the thousands that already exist, because they're ignorant or indifferent to the thriving film industries outside of America. They expect minority actors to come to them.

"I would do love to see more Asians in leading roles! But don't recommend me any foreign films, ew. I'm not going to watch any indie films or anything low budget either. What I mean is, I would love to see more english-speaking Asians in the big-budget comic book films that I'm already mostly watching, with about 20 layers of CG between us. I would totally support that. I would even consider watching the next DC film if Superman was asian and it gets good reviews. Are you listening Hollywood? Step out of your comfort zone!"

Also, socjus has reached the point where for your virtue signaling to really stand out you can't just want more minority actors. You have to demand no white actors and say that the very idea of a white person in a lead role is violence.

I'd love to see one of these iconic characters I don't care about at all...James Bond, the Doctor, Sherlock Holmes, whatever...recast with a black dude or whatever who is just a terrible actor, just to watch the struggle to reconcile "He's black, hooray!" with "Oh god he's terrible."
We've already seen that, but with women

Fun fact: one of the most popular tv series now in Poland is historical Turkish show about Ottoman Empire made in form of soap opera:
Different culture, different religion, nobody cares. Actors and costumes are good, story interesting, setting seen as something exotic and fascinating.

Today I found this website:
https://www.theodysseyonline.com/ha...qia-representation-in-star-wars-wont-kill-you
https://www.theodysseyonline.com/how-steven-universe-destroys-gender-roles
The archetype of male hero gets turned upside down. Instead of being angry and tough, Steven is loving and gentle. This isn't seen as a weakness but is his greatest power which gains him all of his victories. Often, it is Steven's befriending of the villain that saves the day.
This is not anything special and quite, when hero is a CHILD.
Or just idealist.
