It's definitely Russias biggest fiasco since the winter war. We will probably find out this year if the Vatniks will top their performance in the Russo-Japanese war.

From how we've been seeing mobiks & Wagners being motivated lately, I fail to see how this one is still breathing, much less standing up; especially after supposedly catching a beating from the comrades he went caveman on with a hatchet.


And from the sound of it, the only NCO in the picture is one of those who was drinking; because that was definitely an officer scolding them like children.

Of course they are. There master plan to take out Taiwan and seize the south China Sea relied on a complacent USA and its allies to allow for a swift Fait Accompli. Russia has instead shaken the NATO tree house so hard even Japan saw the branches shaking and is starting a massive rearmament program.

Every time I check the progress - or lack thereof - my jaw keeps dropping harder at how objectively little Russia has made. It's about to the point I need to put a pillow on the floor before I start looking. At this point the only way they could decisively win in short order is to take a page from Red Alert 3 and send a BOC (Blob-'O-Conscripts) like they already did repeatedly in WW2. But they can't even put that together.

That's what the Russians have planned. They are already into a second mobilization and there will be a third. In a few months they will have 600-700 soldiers in Ukraine. Zeihan said the Ukrainians will have to kill Russian soldiers at a rate of 8-10 to 1. He says the Ukrainians can't pull that off. The only way they can even attempt is by out maneuvering the Russians but the countryside there is still muddy and that will make that kind of difficult. The ground won't dry out till May or so.

I really don't see how throwing more poorly led poorly trained and poorly equipped conscripts into the conflict will change the course of it because that's what Russia has been doing and it hasn't helped. People bring up WW2 but this isn't WW2. The technology is different. I just don't see it changing things much. All I see is a bunch of Russians dying for nothing.

What a difference a year makes. Team Z got really mad when I pointed out no matter how this ends there has been a seismic power realignment in Eastern Europe. Russia is not going to make Ukraine cease to exist at this point, and that battle hardened and CLEARLY competent Army they've built in the past year is not going to cease to exist after the war ends either.

It's not outside the realm of possibility Ukraine will emerge from this war as a regional power on par with France or Germany once its economy recovers. Especially since Zelensky is using the war as an excuse to go after corruption and 5th column elements in the government. Obviously not immediately, but the country is responsible for fuck ton of the world's food supply. And it has oil.

Its important everyone respects physical boundaries, but also that nothing be done when tinpots don't respect them that will affect our ability to move money and goods.
Also please stop forming military alliances as that will make it hard for us to push around the countries around us.

This is hysterical, but also typical. There are probably dozens if not hundreds of stories like that happening all the time. Ukraine should just airdrop crates of vodka on the frontline and watch ruzzkies take out themselves.

Don't forget, Russia delayed their invasion, possibly by almost a month, because China didn't want its winter olympics ceremonies overshadowed. If they had gone in January instead of February, much more of the ground would have been frozen.
