Hillary Clinton has always been an obscenely crooked woman who's stood by as thousands of Middle-Eastern, East-Africans, and Formally-Yugoslav civilians were massacred for short-term political gain. She actively campaigned on the "Southern Strategy" for the first time any Democrat running for the nomination since the Wallace-Thurmond days; up to the point where she was actively saying people shouldn't vote for a black guy because they'll have no chance running against a Republican. She's incapable of keeping her hands away from other people's money, and has the lowest regard for the law of any US-Fedd since Watergate times.

Just because the US has good checks and balances doesn't mean we should let these soulless bloodsuckers take our laws for a stresstest. Even if we make it out free from major disaster, we shouldn't reward people with less ethical restraint than Bernie Madoff with so much as a pillow mint; let alone the most power any human being alive in our country today is capable of wielding.

The main reason I think Trump with be the next POTUS is because Hillary and the Democrats have absolutely no idea how to counter him. Normally the democrats win by calling the Republican candidates racist and like the spineless wimps they are, they usually cower and grovel for forgiveness. Hate speech is something a lot of people try to hide behind to block discussion of topics that put their feet a little too close to the fire.

I remember just the other day reading through a comment thread on an article regarding the Democratic nomination and what its situation was. A comment was put in that criticized Clinton for many of the usual reasons and regarded her as unfit for the nomination. It was a matter of opinion, but it was put out in a professional manner laying out its grievances and providing citations for them. In walks another commenter with a reply, foaming at the mouth, claiming that the criticisms were nothing more than "sexist attacks on the Madame President."

I checked through all of the comments in that lineup; there was never any reference to Clinton's sex prior to this person charging sexism. They were the first person of a half dozen to say anything regarding Clinton's being a woman and the only retort they could manage was (in so many words) "you hate her because she's a woman!"

I'm not the type to endorse actual hate speech, but trying to use simply the specter of "hate speech" to shut down conversations one does not like is pure bullshit.

They literally talked behind the scenes with the people handling the sexual assault allegations and told them to ask him if he had an affair with Lewinsky, which had nothing at all to do with the case they were hearing, all in the hope he'd trip up and deny it when he was ambushed with it. That is legitimately a conspiracy at that point.

Historically, I can recall one instance where the US did apologize quite a bit. The sinking of the MV Ara Maru, a Japanese hospital ship of WWII by a US submarine.

As I recall, the ship was carrying some cargo it shouldn't have been, but the crew of the attacking submarine could not have known that prior to the attack. As they were not supposed to be attacking hospital ships, the fault for its sinking still laid with them and the contraband was not a legitimate justification for the attack.

Reparations were sought by the Japanese and offered by the US, though I do not believe much ever came of it ultimately.
