They already have the power to ban businesses that are illegal/that they disapprove of. For one thing, they're not mandated to allow any business an account or use of payment processors just because the business wants one. Ask the legal marijuana growers/dispensaries.

People have a right to their own bodies and minds. And I guarantee that an argument will soon be made that porn itself is protected by the first amendment. In fact, its already been made. As the country liberalizes, its probably only a matter of time before the courts strike down obscenity law, as that's been on shaky grounds for a while now.

Solutions could and would be found, if it were in social media companies' financial/social interest to find them.

I haven’t seen many similar stories about stuff occurring at the bases in my general area (Bliss and Holloman) but I don’t doubt it goes on. There’s a big meth problem in NM and a lot of people who live around Holloman are basically meth ghouls at this point. The running stereotype of guys stationed at Bliss is they’re usually driving drunk and getting mixed up with coke/strippers..but no stories about actual sex trafficking. Either it’s covered up more thoroughly or it just isn’t happening on such a wide scale
