All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

I'm not even talking nukes, just normal stuff.
North Korea Has 11.000 +artillery pieces and rockets on dug in positions on the border.
They can shoot 500.000 rounds per hour.
The only way is a preemptive strike against north Korea, good luck getting China to agree to it.

Yeah, that's what I'm saying. As much as DPRK's stuff is a pile of old crap, it's still enough to level Seoul before any significant response can be mounted.
That's the problem
It's not a conventional military were you can detect supplies and troops being moved they are already there
The war never stopped, they are there constantly mobilized, ready to act in the hour.
The best hope for south is to monitor the political situation and act on it.
They can rely on satellite images, but it would be to late to mount a counter attack in time.
Still,i believe Seoul has one of the best civil defenses in the world.
Sure casualties would be high as fuck and the city flattened, but they would be even higher if the south Korea dint planned a north attack during their civil planning.

I'm not sure, but I think they do Nork Attack Drills in Seoul.

But yeah there's not a whole lot they can do. Like you said, everything's already there. And even intel would be tough to get much from. It's not like Pyongyang's gonna give any fucks about telling their operatives "Some of You Guys are Alright, Don't go to Seoul Tomorrow" or anything, so a sudden absence of suspected people won't work. It's probably the same plan of blowing up everything for the past 50 years more-or-less, so it's just a matter of Kim#3 calling the commander and saying "go blow up everything", so there's not much for plans to intercept.

I know talking about a potential situation in Korea is very interesting and I should open a thread about it.
But this is a election thread and we should focus on it.

The Sanders rally in DC should be an hour from now if I recall. Might be worth watching, since he could possibly concede in it. The rally was specifically announced before Tuesday's contests, around the time Sanders sounded more conciliatory, and stated that his campaign would, 'reassess,' were they were after Tuesday's results. Plus, Obama called Sanders sometime before Tuesday to presumably discuss dropping out, and held back his endorsement of Clinton for a time, as if he and Sanders came to an agreement about something, and specifically sat down and talked with Sanders in the White House earlier today before he announced his endorsement of Clinton.

Sanders will either concede now, or after DC on next Tuesday, so he can have stuck through every contest. Though it's worth pointing out that DC is going to be a blowout, and Sanders will be massacred there, since the state's demographics heavily favor Clinton. The state is 46% black, 40% white, so the demography is heavily favorable to Clinton. It may be worthwhile for Sanders to drop out today, when he at least won a couple states in Tuesday's results, rather than after being massacred at the end of the line.

Either way, I have to admit, it's been an impressive run for a virtually unheard of 70-something year old Democratic socialist to have done as well as he has, against the most established and well known politician after the president.

China is the only reason North Korea even currently exists.

It's really about time Sanders pivots and moves toward getting his voters to support Clinton.

It's a bitter pill to swallow, but unless he wants to be the guy who gets blamed for President Trump, it's about time he does it.

Personally, I don't give a shit and I'll vote for Jill Stein or whatever, but this is just strategy speaking from my ancient ass.

I met a Clinton supporter for the first time last week. To celebrate the end of the semester, the professors of this histology lab course I was TAing invited us to dinner, and the conversation eventually drifted to the election because all the other TAs are ivory tower, college liberals who are voting in their first presidential election. The wife of one of the professors started screeching like a harpy about how Trump would ruin America and Hillary was the only road to salvation. But then her husband, this seventy-something first-generation Italian American (and the second most boring professor of cell physiology I ever had) shut her down with a casual rhetorical bitchslap about how he was voting for Trump and nothing would sway his mind. In his nigh incomprehensible and languid accent, he started droning on about how Luxembourg, Lichtenstein, and other tax havens are so rich and USA could become that rich since Trump would do away with taxes. Before he could reveal any more of his ignorance of elementary economics, I joined in to add my support for Trump as the lesser of two evils and in doing so instantly alienated myself from everyone else at the table.

Call me dumb, but for awhile I honestly thought there was a chance he might withhold his endorsement out of spite. Interesting.

Obama is not about spite. You may note something about all the attacks on him. They're about shit like he's from Kenya, he's a Muslim, all total lies. The real problem with Obama is he's way too nice. He tries to get along with everyone.

It kind of pisses me off the first black President was so fucking weak and nice.

Given a do-over, I'd elect Samuel L. Jackson instead.

I'm not sure which part of that sentence is the most :story: part

EDIT: I just realized that Trump is the right's Obama. I remember that during 2008 a lot of people on the left said Obama would do things that are literally impossible, and things he never even said he would do. Now I'm seeing a lot of that same attitude from the right, especially the alt-right, regarding Trump.

I checked out the sub and like every other post has to do with voter fraud (especially in California). Does that have any basis?
From what I can tell a lot of the voting centers there were a complete and utter mess (broken voting machines, misplaced ballots, etc.).

So basically incompetence = outright voter fraud.

Obama already withheld his endorsement out of spite.

He could've endorse Hillbot last year. He's only doing it now because he hates the vulgar, fascistic, racist psychopath on the other side even more than the selfish bitch who spent the entirety of 2008 throwing waterbaloons filled with racism at him and his kin.
