"Good people do not need laws to tell them to act responsibly, while bad people will find a way around the laws." -

Plato

Abolish the criminal justice system. Capitalism creates such a division between the rich and the poor That this surplus population is created And the "government" solution has been Their containment for increasing petty offenses. Prisons lead to tribalistic style of thinking and behavior and a distinct lack of any sense of community among the prisoners themselves, considering how many prisoners lack education and job skills. The prison industrial complex is an economic monster that does not benefit society in anyway whatsoever. We need to abolish it and get back to a more communal style of living where we all have some sense of responsibility for our own actions and each others. Bring back execution for only violent crimes, and abolish the notion of victimless crimes leading to any sentence at all, as they are nothing but excuses to keep the prisons filled. I'm not against punishment per se; however, I am against the current culture of so called "justice" being used as an excuse to ruin peoples lives.

Think for a second if say a tribesperson deep in the amazon would care about such laws as speed limits or terroristic threats? No, they wouldn't. The zeitgeist around so called laws and morality is but a product of our modern day culture. We are programmed to be seen as good little sheeple or bad little criminals. The truth of the matter it's not as black and white as the government wants you to believe. What we call "freedom" and "justice" is anything short of absolute freedom and justice. It has become a sick twisted game of power over others and control through fear mongering, when a societies morality can be dictated by pens in a walled room, then something is seriously wrong. To put it blunty, prisons do not need to exist, as they simply lead to recidivism and more crime. We will never eliminate crime from our society, but we can reduce it with a better approach. Punishment should be reserved for those who commit violent crimes, and the punishments should fit the crimes.

Now onto the topic of police; Police are political soldiers, they view themselves as judge jury and executioner. They have no conscience and no moral compass, they are the epitome of total political control, they are totally amoral and always act for the greater good of their own kind, they claim to "uphold the constitution" but in reality it is their duty to uphold the interests of the state and its elite, such as bankers and industrialists. Big city cops are nothing but useless feeders. All they do is throw random criminals in jail, and what? A week later they're out of jail doing the same thing again, I say some people deserve to put in the dirt, but at the rate police shoot innocent people, it's overly unnecessary. While I do think most police shootings are justified, with the advent of bodycams, you can see most cops are itching to shoot people, I don't understand the notion of shooting people who obviously suicidal and say "shoot me". If people simply didn't commit so-called crimes and reveal their power level, chances are they wouldn't have run-ins with the police; I think unjust laws are not to be followed. In the past, people had no choice but to obey the law because they didn't know any better. Laws were passed based on tradition or common sense. Nowadays, people don't need laws to keep them in line; they're free thinkers who aren't afraid of being judged by their peers. They see the world through different eyes and aren't bound by human limitations. If there are no more laws, then we will only be responsible for our own actions. It would be an ideal situation where everyone could do whatever they wanted without worrying about consequences. We wouldn't have to fear being judged by others or living under the tyranny of laws, while I do think laws against some things make sense, they have been used as a form of tyranny and oppression, Most people don't like police for perceived racism, when racism is just the tip of the iceberg of rights infringement.

The ones asking to abolish the criminal justice system will ironically the ones killed for their fucking stupidity.

...actually its starting to sound like a decent idea now. Maybe we could abolish it for like a day or two in California (and sell the footage to anyone that wants peak catharsis)

based idea. as soon as the law is gone i will start killing all the people who ever wronged me in life, starting with the boy who stole my purple crayon on the second day of school. don't care if he was just 7 years old at the time, he's gonna pay for what he did that day!

Lead the people with administrative injunctions and put them in their place with penal law, and they will avoid punishments but will be without a sense of shame. Lead them with excellence and put them in their place through roles and ritual practices, and in addition to developing a sense of shame, they will order themselves harmoniously.

- Analects of Confucius, as quoted in Guilt–shame–fear spectrum of cultures - Wikipedia

(still I think the only way no justice system could really work is if there's no civilization)

Oh boy, a schizoposter! We got a long way to go before we match the crazy you can find on some of the more obscure parts of 4chan but we're slowly getting there you guys!

A lot of autistic schizos lately. Hopefully this one's as funny as Rapey McShareshistinypenistothefarms

I think the Justice system should act in a compassionate fashion. it should be both a a means of teaching maladaptive individuals to be productive and restorative to victims of crime. A justice system which is neither is pointless and cruel to criminals who would be better put to death.

I'm perfectly happy with a strictly punitive justice system. Sociopaths can't be taught empathy. Best to either 1) correct their behavior through aversion training (which is precisely what prison is), or 2) beat the shit out of them strictly for our collective amusement.

Not in favor of a blanket death penalty because a significant statistic of non-sociopaths commit crimes due to desperation, coercion or idiocy and those people need the loophole of parole and supervision to dig themselves out of their own circumstances.

My suggestion of the death penalty only applies to those unwilling or unable to change and incapable of restorative action to the parties harmed.
Let me ask you a question. So you have a drunk driver, not a bad guy just a guy who will never fix his problem. Someone who can't fix his problem. A Guy who plows through families because he has a problem. What does anyone gain by putting him away for 5 years then 10, then 30, then forever?
There is a reason that the angel of justice is depicted with a sword and a scale. Justice is about righting the suffering of the world. It is about correcting wrongs, to reset that scale imbalanced by crime and criminality to the balance of peace and righteousness.
Placing that driver in jail forever won't reset that scale. So then must come the sword and a swift sword is humane and just. A long drawn out cut for the sake of punishment is designed to inflict suffering and is vengeful. Not Just.
