Gonna quote myself, I listened to the first episode and the host and Rowling talk about her difficult beginning, how she got out of the horrible relationship with her ex who almost destroyed the harry potter manuscript etc. Not gonna go into detail but her beginnings is what's mostly covered and it's compelling to listen to. I didn't know most of it.

But the episode starts at some event where Harry Potter fans are asked what they love about the story. And they go on and on about it comforting the outsiders, being about acceptance and love, friendships and forgiveness and all that. Then they're asked about Rowling and they clam up like the cowards they are. It's a podcast, your name or and face won't even be out there and you're what? Afraid of being labeled an infidel by voice? The answers are that "it's tricky" (it's not), "I'm trying to stay out of it", "I have a comment but I'll say it off mic"

I don't know how the fuck could the painting of Rowling as some monster be more tragic. This woman couldn't be more kind and aware of everything. She says, commenting on what certain people say on social media specifically "You've ruined your legacy. Oh you could have been beloved forever, but you chose to say this. And I think you could not have misunderstood me more profoundly. I do not walk around my house thinking about my legacy. What a pompous way to live your life ,walking around thinking what will my legacy be. Whatever. I'll be dead. I care about now. I care about the living"

One of my favorite "debunkings" of AGP is the fact that it doesn't explain FtMs which is sort of like saying that gravity is disproven because it doesn't explain magnets.

Even if we could perfectly turn someone into a replication of the opposite sex right now, there would STILL be people who wouldn't go through with it entirely to become the opposite sex. Some fetish lifestyle MTFs would probably want to turn themselves into some futa furry abomination, but FTMs wouldn't want the attention and rush from going through this "journey" to end, so they would come up with some bullshit like their mind-body disconnection makes them "who they are". Because the main modus operandi of MTFs are fetishes, while the modus operandi of FTMs are attention seeking, social contagion, and trying to escape sexualization.

This is the sign I tap when people ask me why I say I'm not as critical of the more sane (lol) ftms that are quietly living their lives as stealthily as possible. It's fucking sad that a woman feels like the only way to be left alone by men is to mutilate her body into a bad simulation of manhood, and I feel for them being /that/ desperate.

The term is “anogential” distance. And yes, I too observed it is greater in trans women.
I specifically asked my surgeon about this, and he was rather squeamish for some reason. I told him in all of the post op results I’ve seen, the anogential distance is greater than in cis women and asked if there was anything that could be done about that. As in, was it an aesthetic thing you can tweak based on my request.
He explained that the vulva has to be where it is because of your existing anatomy. He’s not making a subjective decision about the positioning. It is based on your existing anatomy and has to be where it needs to be to line up with where things are on your body already.
He explained that there are simply skeletal, structural differences in trans women vs cis women, and essentially it is what it is.
I was a little disappointed to learn that the vertical positioning of the vulva is not a customizable feature but rather one that is largely fixed as it is determined by your existing anatomy and skeletal structure. But at the end of the day, it’s the type of thing only people who have obsessively studied genitals would ever notice.

MTF noticed that fake vulvas are higher than the real thing.

Other MTF explains that his surgeon said it's because of Skeletal/structural differences. Was disappointed vulva height wasn't a "customizable feature" like they're a fucking build-a-bear.

A lot of ppl opt to just say "trans women are women", but he decided to break the mold and take it one step further by saying "i support cis women and real women". Sorry I didn't catch a screenshot, but the chat was very mad. Obviously he was implying that trans women are the real women, and biological women are just cis, which a lot of people didn't appreciate.
