I do wonder if this will result in some damage for Nick now that people can see for themselves what a Rekieta superfan looks like in 2023. Rekieta's image before last summer was that he was a Youtube content creator on legal issues that was actually entertaining.
Ron Coleman, who actually practices law at a high level, must have been looking at the people in the audience and saying "Why the hell am I here? What benefit to me is there from these people knowing who I am?"
My stereotype of someone who watches legal content, even from a creator like Nick who's more on the entertaining side, is that they really ought to be more highbrow than the average YT watcher. These people.... I don't even need to ask what their education level is or anything. I can look at most of them and they look like they crawled right off the Ralphaswamp onto the plane to Vegas. These are the people who watch Nick talk about packing suitcases full of sex toys or Nick gush over Camelot's alleged sexcapades and think it's the best content he's ever done. It answers quite a few questions for me, frankly.
I thought what I'm about to say is unfair, so I
double checked the Ralphamania crowd shots.
It's sad to say but true: the average Ethan Ralph superfan looks more put together than the average Rekieta superfan. I guess you could argue it's a draw.
I did not catch anyone in the Ralphamania video who was toothless.
It's such a bad scene that I didn't even feel comfortable this morning to even mock them until I saw the screenshot indicating that, according to Locals superposter Carimachet, Nick was talking shit about David Schneider's disabled son with Down's Syndrome. That kid had no choice of the state he was born in. There were audience members there who had a choice to put the money they dropped at a hat to head to Vegas when Rekieta announced he was going there towards getting dentures or whatever, and they still chose to rock up to the Ahern ballroom missing nearly half their front teeth.
Nick was musing about doing shows, including a Vegas show, in the last months of 2022.
It is hard not to notice that coincides with the start of his Locals era, the thirstposting, and Rekieta bragging about how his audience had gone from under 10% female on YT pre-2022 to 50% on his Locals.
Given that he has gone to Hedonism II and the Gay 90s, and the interactions on stream and in the Locals chat, it is also hard not to speculate that even if they are not active swingers who have sex with other people, at the very least he or his wife love flirting with other people.
So I do believe Nick's "win condition" was being fêted as a celebrity by large numbers of reasonably attractive 25-45 year old women. He probably thought that for every woman who posted her ass on Locals, there were a dozen who didn't do so but would be on the first flight to Vegas. Based on the pictures here, unless the rape scene in
Deliverance really gets him going, he probably was disappointed by the turnout dominated by Duck Dynasty extras who look like they just came out of the Ralphs' land in Caldwell Parish.
Rekieta was talking about doing multiple events, like one every couple months. I'd be surprised if he's ever going to do any more on his own again this year. He's already said he's piggybacking off a Dick Masterson meetup in Philly in April and I suspect that'll be it.
