From what I can recall off the top of my head the problem was with the way they machined the barrel since it was always the left side that had the issue, even if you only loaded the left side. I'll go ahead and embed the whole saga if anyone's interested in watching it.

And just to reiterate; Karl is the only person (as far as I am aware at least) who gave a single fuck about this thing beyond the initial test, he just could not let it go. Standard Mfg did end up releasing another version with a slightly longer barrel, but I can't bring myself to care to see if that actually fixed any of the issues because I recognize the thing as gay and retarded on a conceptual level like anyone with functioning eyeballs should.

I'd love to know the story about how it went into production with a fairly obvious design fault.

Karl still hasn't done a really good video on the usage /manual of arms for the G43. The German infantry didn't like them, and I've read that Panzergrenadiers would keep the squad G43 in the vehicle for use by any of the crew, while everybody would still keep their own weapon system.

Most likely it's because Karl is his friend. The idea that you should ditch an actual irl friend just because he's a cringelord is an interesting one, however it's not how most people choose to behave.

Understandable, but there’s a difference between acting as a friend in your private capacity and doing it in such a way that your professional life is wrapped up in it. Like it or not Russell also represents KE Arms, which adds an entirely different angle that he should have taken into account. There’s a difference between feeding a friend’s cat and dragging your employer into an issue in a way that conflicts with professional obligations, which is something that’s also going to potentially effect other people’s jobs.

Besides, how much of a real friend was he? Ironically only person that appears to have tried to warn Karl where this road would end was Ian, and we saw how Russell piled on him for that. Russell chose to be the “you totally pass, Hon!” toxic troon enabler to Ian’s Matt Walsh YWNBAW, and we know how that dynamic works out. You mean as my posts were getting flagged to the mods, did I stop to reflect on whether a guntuber thread had been a good idea to begin with. Not really.

I wrote in the guntuber OP that Karl was going to get his own thread eventually. I remember watching an InRange Q&A and they were talking about discord, Ian emphatically stated that he rarely logged on and people shouldn't expect to contact him there, while Karl was enthusiastic. I might go back looking for the video but I think that's the point where I knew he was going to drift into lolcow territory.

Then Karl started associating with people Like Ollam (who still incidentally has a video up describing Kyle Rittenhouse as coming from a wealthy background) and that Trannie who despite being terminally online never seems to want to talk about the two black kids murdered by the CHAZ security force he was part of . After that it was all down hill.

Ultimately though Karl was always going to get a thread because of how he uses social media, and his addiction to arguing with anonymous rando avatars online.

What pissed me off was the celebration of the faggotry that got Brownells to drop the WWSD, or AR15.com banning Karl while facilitating the gayops of it's user base. In Germany certain roads and building build by concentration camp inmates, are protected from destruction or modification (to a degree). So if he destroyed it, there's all sorts of interesting and funny implications.

There are stories online that the G43 were deliberately sabotaged to the extent that they'd pass proofing but would then be prone to failure. The rifle had a lot of machined components, which needed tool operators that could conceivably have done subtle sabotage... the flapper locking and gas system as well as the heat treatment of the parts would have given them all sorts of options.

I'm surprised studies have never been done.
