Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

Haven't the Japs always done this for black women? Just make their skin brown?

Elena is supposed to be Kenyan IIRC
It's simple, it's the normal old (not modern) Japanese psychology. They usually won't make sheboons. Also, most of their "browns" aren't outsiders, but just local Okinawans (like people who thought Nessa from Pokemon was Black).

Also, Elena (actually Kenyan, yes) is literally one of the best girls in the series, & the best girl of the game she's from (she literally is too OP to the point Capcom hasn't used her since).

I miss Elena, bros
:sigh:

At the very least they make their Negroid's just as ugly if not more so than the other females. The recent KoF game has a sheboon (with a mysteriously Caucazoid bone structure) in it that's one of THE WORST character designs I have ever seen in my life.
It's garish, abyssal, post-modern, and demonstrates perfectly why 7% archaic admixture DNA is not to be worshipped.
I don't have a dog in this fight but design wise I saw whoever that is as the negative of Angel. They ran out of ideas 25 years ago so this was bound to happen.

I've definitely lost all taste for remakes ever again. Capcom lost anyone with any talent within the series long ago. Code Veronica needs a remake, but I'm fine if it doesn't. I still regularly go back to REmake but I haven't played RE2R in awhile and I haven't played RE3R since launch.
I actually loved RE2R and routinely go back to it because it's quite cosy and easy to hop in and play. And despite what /v/ says, the originals are still there and I've got like three versions of them all or at least the ones I like. I really hated CV when I played it and it has aged far worse than 1, 2, & 3 so between it looking like shit, playing like shit, and being just not fun to play I would have taken a remake of it before 2 even if I had had the option. I know some people fuckin love CV but I really don't get why - to each their own.

Obviously getting fixed-angle remakes like we did with 1 would have been god-tier but I have come to terms that until AI because good enough to crank out high quality renders as cheaply as possible, it'll never ever happen again even though you'd think the >6m copies REmake has sold over the years on top of the critical acclaim would be enough but when 4/5/6 all sell >10m copies there's zero reason to ever look back if you're (((capcom))).

I play RE2R every once in awhile just for the RPD but after that I just don't feel like playing it anymore. It just becomes very flat and disinteresting.

Fixed camera isn't coming back and I've accepted that. But even with OTS, they can't even give you a complete game or not make it pozzed.

And yeah, CV aged far worse than anything else in the old series. Why it's a favorite of some people I've never understood either. It's clunky, slow and the pacing is terrible. If it played at the speed and reaction time of RE3, I would love it far more. To me, that game did the tank controls better than any game in the series. The fastest run speed, the quickturn, aiming, all of it was very responsive and quick. I went through CV like two weeks ago and it's just a slog. Like it can be fun in places and the music is great, but it's definitely weak.

Capcom's home eastern dev team has always been questionable, even having a Bill Lumbergh like boss as part of your staff is already more of a sin mto your game company, and even a company as a whole.

They finally got the black phenotype right in SF6, and it's garish.

People finally realised why Japanese like making ebony nubian goddesses as a design base for character design & not making accurate sheboons instead, when the people asking for it finally got one. And funnily enough, it's still better looking than the common real version, because Japanese have not gotten to the retardations which is the modern Western design values (everything has to be as ugly as possible).

This is something troubling about all the remakes coming out, FF7 Crisis Core: Reunion also had this problem. Do they just pick random people OFF THE STREET to voice characters in video games now? Because that's what it's starting to sound like.

what a horrible day for the krauserbros.

The issue is that Capcom has a stupid tendency to just switch recording studios between games all the time (this is why most RE characters have had multiple voice actors, some upwards of five). Now, they are using a studio that only uses non-Union actors. So the actors are either nobodies without a long work history, or established actors and actresses working under pseudonyms (like "James Baker", the voice actress for Claire in RE: Rev2, who is most likely Ali Hillis). This is why Alyson Court ultimately didn't reprise her role of Claire in the RE 2 remake despite being contacted to do so after fan outcry.

Overall, the voice acting has been okay to bad since Rev 2. It was alright in RE7 and RE8. Even Chris's new voice actor sounded fine, even though its just an impression of his last voice actor. But the remakes have been bad, and RE4 is shaping up to be the worst of them all. I never liked Leon's current voice actor. He isn't terrible; just flat and uninspiring. He's extremely unemotive and just sounds boring. Ada's voice actress in RE2 remake did not come close to living up to Sally Cahill, and the RE4 remake looks to be no different. Ashley is somehow a step down from her youthful voice in the original RE4 and I don't even know how you accomplish that. Everybody else just sounds horrible. I'm playing through RE4 for the first time right now, and its night and day. Despite how cheesy it is, the dialogue actually holds up. Leon is sarcastic and wise cracking, but professional. Luis sounds appropriately sleazy, while Salazar is appropriately pathetic. Ashley actually isn't that annoying to me, while Sally Cahill will always sound sexy as Ada. Saddler sounds like the overconfident bastard he looks like. Krauser is Krauser, and that's all you need from him. I don't see how you fuck something like this up, but Capcom needs to go on ahead and dump whatever studio they are using. Its just shameful how bad it is at this point.

Yes, because hiring literal nobodies (or wannabe voice actors) worked well for the company before, right? For example this:
This nigga sounds like a combination of Elmer Fudd and Peter Griffin

Honestly the voice acting in the previous remakes wasn’t even really that bad. Nikolai maybe but he could’ve been a lot worse. The acting in RE4 remake is just straight up bad though. Salazar, Krauser, and Saddler especially. Salazar just because the actors attempt at a Spanish accent is awful and Saddler and Krauser sound too exaggerated. I really can’t believe for owning one of the biggest video game franchises in the world, Capcom can’t even spare the money to hire some big name voice actors. I don’t like Troy Baker as a person but he’s a goddamn good actor, so they could hire him.

You know what, that reminds me that in the original game Saddler spoke like a cult leader. Slow and calm. Now he’s just loud which makes no sense.
