I would gain a bit of respect for Phil if he went through with the interview anyway. That's not saying much but not bitching out of it would be quite the change of pace. its not even true in a relative sense. The US birthrate is below replacement level and even some countries from regions commonly thought of as having problems with birthrate. The only thing keeping us ahead of them is immigration.

That's not to say every modern person is damaged, but Phil is the complete product of modernity.
