Steve Quest (p/k/a Montagraph) vs. Nicholas Robert Rekieta & Rekieta Law, LLC (2023)

Which is insane if true. He’s an (ostensibly libertarian) lawyer who’s the beneficiary of at least one trust fund. If he doesn’t have his shit set up in a tax efficient way, despite having ample means and incentives to do so, he’s even more of a drunk retard than I suspected.
Does Nick have an accountant? Or is he filing his own taxes like a fucking retard?

Yes, I do conflate the two things but didn't Rekieta say exacty this? I seem to recall him saying specifically that Monty was a paedophile who likes to suck little boys dicks. One thing might refer to a state of mind, but saying he sucks little boy dicks backs that up by reference to a specific action.

I can't find the clip off hand, but I've also seen Rekieta saying that he says it's reasonable to make the assumption that Monty likes sucking little boy's dicks because he once made a movie in the style of those Japanese pinku gore/porn things involving the kidnap/torture of someone who may or may not have been underage. Hard to say exactly how old the person was because they wore a mask, but I'm pretty sure I've seen Monty saying that the actress was actually of age.

Rekieta obviously thinks it's worth his time and money to roll the dice in court over the issue. If I'd said those things, I'd be making a grovelling apology to Monty as soon as I possibly could. There's so much to lose and absolutely nothing to gain by fighting a case like this.
He thought he could grift off it. We will see how much he can...

Either that, or hes just stupid and said something that got him sued into a money pit.

Not a good look either way.
Apparently $50k billed so far, and the retainer was only $40k.
I assume it was 40 + 10 in time? Not sure how retaining works...
Does Nick have an accountant? Or is he filing his own taxes like a fucking retard?
I am sure he pays someone to not deal with them...

Just like his children...

Ah, Longbehn vs. Schoenrock… Low-key maybe the LOLsiest of LOLsuits, even if it didn’t involve internet famous regards. It took almost eleven years from the date of first filing, with incalculable amounts of legal fees to both parties, only to be resolved with the plaintiff “winning” $750.00 - yes, just seven-hundred and fifty dollars - for the “humiliation” of being referred to by a derogatory nickname some locals had saddled him with because he’d been in a relationship with a large age-gap.
And now he's only known for suing over being called Pat the Pedo and he can't sue over that because that's what literally happened.
From Monty's amended complaint.
And that is what is (probably) called a colorable claim.

This guy has been unable to keep up the registration of his corporation, which is a very basic thing to do. Because of his trust fund, I assume he has no idea how to do things tax-efficiently or cares.

In particular, I doubt that he (or Ty Beard or whoever his accountant is, if he has one) had the foresight to do anything like filing form 2553 with the IRS to have his LLC taxed as an S-corp, and otherwise keep up with his requirements like figuring out how to pay himself a salary.

Retainers are usually pre-payments for time, so he would start with $40k worth of time in the bank (essentially in escrow) and then he gets sent a bill once that is used up. That would mean $50k of time has been spent already, and $50k out of his pocket.

Holy shit he’s genuinely retarded if this is true. This is a series of Ralph-level fuckups if indeed he has not set his shit up in the no-brainer manner even wine mom Instagram influencers know how to do. It’s like a supposed world class chef buying ingredients from the gas station. Seriously, wtf.

His corporations are the following:

Rekieta Law (DBA Name): https://mblsportal.sos.state.mn.us/...lingGuid=962adb9d-6c35-e511-b14d-001ec94ffe7f - last reinstated 2019

Rekieta Law LLC: https://mblsportal.sos.state.mn.us/...lingGuid=ee69ad38-689f-e911-9177-00155d01b32c - administratively terminated very recently (possibly because he missed his renewal in 2022, or because he chose to dissolve the entity - I'm not sure how these events are marked in MN)

Rekieta media LLC: https://mycpa.cpa.state.tx.us/coa/ (search for taxpayer ID# 32071839354) - Registered 2019, but currently missing some past reports, so it is not considered "active"

You can see on that page that the renewal was due December 31st and he didn't file it. No idea about whether or not the failure to file was intentional. He hasn't practiced for a while now so he may have decided that the corporation was a liability.

No idea what's going on with Rekieta Media though.

I think the primary purpose of Rekieta Media was so that he'd be able to force a potential defamation lawsuit with the Kick Vic folks back into Texas so he could file a TCPA rather than fighting it out in federal court and the statute of limitations on that should be over since he hasn't covered them personally in a few years at this point

I think he was hoping to get more advertising value out of this lolsuit, but he didn't realize that nobody actually gives a shit about him and his life drama.
There was once a time where that might have been in his favor, but he pissed that away by exposing himself for being a hypocrite and the sympathy he would have gained was burned along with with it.

I would assume that if he were smart, Rekieta Media would be his loan-out that he uses for his Rumble deal. That would give him significant tax advantages if he set up the structure correctly and also give him a much better case to remove other defamation suits to Texas. If his income last year was $1 million, a properly set up loan-out would reduce his tax bill by 6 figures.

I'm just overjoyed at the fact that Legal Mindset aka Andrew d'Adesky, has been publicly doxed once again. This is a public document and Nick will have to edit out Andrew's name if he wants to not "dox" him when reading this motion.
TL;DR on this connection?

Imagine how embarrassing it would be to tell people your dad’s job is internet dramatic artist. I hope those poor kids believe their father is a respected attorney for as long as they believe in Santa and that every family washes buttplugs in the dishwasher.

It’s also gonna leave a mark when they find out about how dear old mom helps dad at “the office.” If Nick and his wife were MUCH more attractive, they might even find success on OnlyFans and then at least they could tell the kids they outed their freak status for the noble cause of providing for the family. That might fly!

But they’re two pasty, flabby Walmart shoppers with trashy tattoos, regrettable facial features and an admitted love of BBC, wife swapping and gas-powered sex toys. Couples like the Rekeitas are a dime a dozen online. Nick and the mother of his children didn’t do it for any purpose except to indulge their sexual degeneracy.

But don’t worry, guys. They still believe CRISIS KANG!!!! so all is well and none of this can possibly ever affect their parental authority or the trust between them and their children either collectively or individually. Kids raised on anime totally get it.

Reminds me of an old joke where kids are being asked what their daddy does. And the first says "My daddy is a fireman!" And the next says "My daddy is a doctor!" And little Jimmy says "My daddy plays piano in a whorehouse!"

And they're very concerned about this (which gives this away as an old joke). So they bring in little JImmy's daddy to ask him exactly what that means.

And he says "I just thought it would be less embarrassing than admitting to being a lawyer."

Here's the Colorado address that Quest has apparently been using, which apparently is a forwarding address.

STEVE QUEST
98 Wadsworth Boulevard 127-245
Lakewood, CO 80226

Apparently when Schneider said that Nick probably knew Monty's Illinois address because of the ethics complaint, he didn't bother to do his due diligence before representing that to the court, because Monty put the Colorado address on the ethics complaint.

98 Wadsworth Blvd #127 is a Pack and Ship Services at the Pak Mall.

edit: Nick announces he is "definitely" filing an ethics complaint against David Schneider. This lolsuit just got even more fun.

Also, his reaction to the paragraph about "administrative termination" of Rekieta Law, LLC was a bit odd. "Good on me. ... wait, he did? That's weird! I'll have to look into that one!"

I wonder what will happen if this moves to discovery. Will Schneider attempt to have Andrew d'Adesky deposed?

Also, Rekieta says if the case gets to discovery, he will "have to" depose Schneider's wife, because Schneider's wife was quoted as saying Nick Rekieta's conduct was "outrageous".

Given Rekieta's talk about his intent to try to have all these different people deposed if the case moves forward, it is hard to escape the impression that he's kind of resigned to the fact that the CO gambit is a nonstarter at this juncture.

This was very stupid of Schneider.

I feel anxious just thinking about the legal bills for all this. Nick’s GOTTA know he’s going to regret not coming to a quick settlement and moving on. Right?

This is all giving me early Mignona saga vibes: It’s still not too late to deescalate, settle and move on with life, but you can tell neither party is pragmatic enough to make such a wise choice. And the plaintiff’s attorney seems to have a long held personal grudge against Rekeita to boot. Seems like not the best situation to burn hundreds of thousands of dollars on, but what do I know? I’d never even heard of the Balldo.

Meanwhile all the lawyers clean up. Hard to fault them for it when the clients are this fucking hellbent on self-immolation.

I don't think even Nick is stupid enough to not know that it's going to cost him vast amounts of time and money for jackshit in return, but his pride won't allow it. He wants to be remembered as the other guy who owned a litigious schizo in court no matter what he has to sacrifice for it. He probably sees settlement as a kind of truce and that's the exact opposite of what he wants.

He seemed surprised that Rekieta Law LLC was dissolved last month on last night's stream. So... lol.
