The problem is
Kate isn't important for players
I'm sure she was important for niko but as a player, why would I care for some random woman who doesn't even let niko have sex with her?
The glowie agent Karen let Niko fuck her and pretended to like him but she betrayed him, and we can see why Niko is so mad about it
But Kate? Nope
And this makes revenge ending less dramatic compared to money ending where everyone's favorite Roman Belic dies at his wedding
Not really that attached to the character Kate but the implication that Niko won't ever have a normal relationship after she died. Both endings equally sad but you know what they say, bros before hoes.

Not only fading away from having relationship, I feel like he's going to stop hanging out with friends as well
Packie said he thinks Niko is dead in GTA5 and I take that line as Niko cut tie with many of his friends because he thinks he's danger to people around him

Also Niko's speech at the end for the deal ending is better.
In the Revenge ending he laughs at Pegerino and calls him a joke.
In the deal ending he starts with sarcastically welcoming dimitri to america, then angrily berates Dimitri for betraying everyone he comes into contact with, and for killing Roman.
You're a strange man. You killed your best friend. You betrayed everyone who ever came in contact with you. You killed my cousin. I guess... the survival of the fittest thing really meant a lot to you.

Pegorino really should have been the main antagonist for Gay Tony where its more fitting, and have Ray along with Dimitri as the villains for the main story. Peg only shows up near the end for IV and the Italians caused more trouble for Luis and Tony in general, meanwhile Ray is one of the main reasons why Niko went to the US in the first place.

Altho he could have still had missions in Gay Tony, those were fun along with the cutscenes, like where he shoots his sister:

Apparently Rockstar announced it in December, but they delisted the iFruit App I guess?
>iFruit
I still remember back in 2013 when they tried to make that into a thing as an excuse to mock Apple for their cheaply made iPhone products. The fact that they never made a plot surrounding that in one of their missions is just disappointing, to say the least.

I like the ambiguity they left with IV into V. It validates either ending the player would had experienced. Notice how Niko is mentioned in passing.

It doesn't surprise me. The iFruit app was spotty even at launch. Stop implementing outside resources to get the most out of your game.

To me it always made more sense storywise that Revenge was the canon ending and Packie cut ties with Niko after Kate's death. He was heartbroken after she was killed and the BoGT credits show him heading to the airport with a bag, presumably heading to Los Santos to start over. He doesn't really have a reason to leave if Kate is alive in the Deal ending and he's still a petty criminal when you find in GTA V so it's not like he's there specifically to do big robberies.

It is kind of pointless to debate the story aspects of it though because Rockstar just threw him in there as a call back to GTA IV and probably didn't think much about it outside of that.

I wish they had Trevor know about Devin going after Micheal's family. That would've provided an interesting twist into the story. Missed opportunity there, Trevor LOVES Micheal's family even when they were butting heads after North Yankton.
The more you look into GTAV's story, the more missed opportunities you find. Biggest misstep in the game plotwise is leaving very interesting/important character details or backstory to the optional activities. A lot of people probably don't know that Michael and Trevor properly bury the hatchet after they hang out a couple of times post story.

I still believe the better storyline would've been to explore Michael as the protagonist who had already "won", having all his past mistakes come back to haunt him in the form of Trevor. Franklin could've been made a side character or even scrapped altogether, honestly

No way Franklin could had not been in GTAV after San Andreas' popularity.

If they had to keep Franklin, then they could've gone with an angle i believe was mentioned here earlier, where Ending A is the canon one, and the student surpasses the master

This also brings up yet another missed opportunity, the gang life in Franklin's story shouldve been explored way more

I would've loved a Lamar story DLC. I'm not counting The Contract or Lowriders.
Your loss. It sums up Lamar pretty well; a low-rent hoodlum with delusions of grandeur.
Charismatic, but his mouth would've gotten him killed long ago if not for his friends.

Lamar at the end of the day is one-dimensional comedy relief. Expanding Lamar would've only made him overstay his welcome.

More like "broken promise." They promised single player DLC in 2013-2014.

Yes, I am aware that this is corny and the face in the thumbnail looks like the soyjack meme, but I needed a pick me up after what happened to me in the last few days and this was hilarious.

Updating this thread with an actual rumor that could very well turn into interesting news:

Not to go off topic, but 50 Cent: Bulletproof was released 18 years ago. If this means what I think it means, this could either be funny or just outright random. I’ll keep an eye on this to see if anything happens.
