I hate reddit more and more every day. There were times when they used to be more interesting, but since the takeover of lefty politics it's just unbearable to browse the site.

I admit I like some niche communities. It's still a great format for quick, daily chatter. I prefer old-style forums but they're hard to pick up and compartamentalize just as you do with reddit.

I just opened r/all and it's eyerolling. There's just so many current threads that would fit her perfectly, but they are so many that I can't even bother to link them.

If you ever want to experience what the doomers mean when they say this world is fucked beyond repair, just scroll through the reddit frontpage.

There is a maximum treshhold for any subreddit to be in any way decent which I think is about 100k subs or something of a daily ammount of engagement . Above it the Admins and Powerjannies will demand you add one of their own to the moderation team no matter if the creator is alone holding the place together, they already have their own mods doing a good job, or anything like it. You WILL accept the reddit approved janny or else.

And as soon as La Creatura joins the mod team it is all down hill.

I think Reddit is good for small niches, the ones that do not have political or retard gender shit. It could be entraining (with shitty memes).
The issue is the power jannies and the admins are so far up the corporate cuckery that actual discussion is killed due muh advertisers or feelings.

100%. reddit was fun when admins were hand-off and won't interfere with subreddits unless they broke like 5 simple rules.
Now they're easy triggered with bans and quarantines and forcing subs to adopt corporate cuckery.

On reddit, there are multiple subs dedicated to writing, with /writing being the biggest with its 2.6 mln. Mostly, it's populated by wanna-be authors and while 5% of posts might be useful, the rest is total garbage which is probably due to piss poor mods who delete any resemblance of human thinking leaving harmless "How do I write?" npc posts. But what makes me really MATI, is one particular topic. Remember, those are people who aspire to create art, this is why modern stories suck so much and characters are bland as fuck.

The hilarious thing is that most “POCs” have never experienced any racism or oppression, so by those rules they can’t write about that stuff either.
