Yes. I constantly spam autistic shit in threads knowing it makes the resident no life tranny angry when I shit on their pet characters in games. Bait them into engaging you on the viability of say Jin in Tekken, then after 1985 characters add "Asuka is shit" to annoy them. It works every time and they start witch hunting your posts and blaming innocent anons for you baiting them.Since we're talking about moderation and shitposting, do any of your favorite threads have unique shitposters that makes them different from most? Like in posting style, length of time shitposting or just plain craziness?
Depends on the era. 4chan had a lot of niche topics when it first started. Boards like /v/ and /b/ were always spam friendly but what about /po/ or /tg/ back when it was influencing Warhammer lore with it's fan fiction creations? Don't under estimate what 4chan used to be. It wasn't all /b/ and many anons went on to do great things... except me.. It's never me.. Like being picked last in dodge ball but instead of being picked last they turn the lights off and lock the doors with me inside.forums were always better for conversations, 4chan is were people go dump their trash. The anonimity coupled with no registration and how quick threads get flushed down just incentivizes shitposting, shit stirring and being an edgy retard for its own sake. being insightful on 4chan is like a wasted effort.
There's still a need for shitholes online were you can scream like a moron with not even a username but lets not pretend like it was ever the peak of discourse. Forums dying off and being absorbed by Discord, Reddit and shitty FB groups is a bigger lost for internet culture.
