What Video caused you to stop watching a Youtuber?

I suppose it was only a matter of time.

EDIT for extended rant:

First of all, what the fuck is with this lopsided content schedule? One video a week and the occasional podcast that bores me to tears?

Second, we've already been here with you making it VERY apparent you were a journalist at some point, which is a pretty gross power level on your part.

Third, you already lost me partways with your gas v. electric stove sperging in the comments section and white guilt allusions in your previous videos.

On top of all this, repeating the mistakes 99% of the other content creators make you fall out of lane and start going off on exhaustive talking points. Worse, diet-woke, where it's a shitty take on this generations identity spiral like it needs to be enabled further. Shut the FUCK up about groomed children needing to "fight for survival". Christ, it's worse than Artie Bucco turning into a retching cunt every time something doesn't go his way.

I can't even tell what the fuck is going on lol, then again I don't pay attention in the comments enough to make heads or tails.

Sadly I wouldn't be surprised if the guy was found connected to the ceiling someday. He looked and sounded pretty depressed in the last videos I watched.
His videos now are just sad to watch. I can't help but feel they're the final gasps of air for his creative endeavours. He was so set on becoming a hotshot film director that he saw his YouTube career as a simple launching point. Everything was good when he still had it in the back of his mind he was going to make it as a true and honest movie director. But when he failed to make a decent film and people lost interest in his directorial ventures, he sort of half-heartedly resigned to just throwing up mindless, low-effort reviews just so he can involve himself in the space he seeks validation from. Even the comment section is other failed creative-types regurgitating the same needlessly wordy, pretentious opinions to pretend they have something to contribute, instead of the lively audience that would crack jokes and appreciated the less "important" content that he was very capable of producing.

I never stopped watching Ralph because he's a bad guy or because he's a lolcow, it just seems he genuinely does not enjoy making videos.

Well, a funny story I remembered about another guy I used to watch. He was a long-form reviewer named GamingMagic13 (IIRC) who initially started out as a let's player, but became a reviewer with his loving review of Dragon's Lair 3D (which I now need to get around to) and moreso, multi-part beatdowns of the Danganronpa 3 anime series and Toy Story 4. Trust me, it sounds autistic (it probably is), but he goes all out as every frame in the stuff he layeth the smackdown on provided something of substance to talk about. His final conclusion on Toy Story 4 basically convinced me to stay away from that film, and even his top 20 lists offered something of substance.

So. What made me quit watching? It was a year ago. It wasn't him using a clip from a crappy overhyped adult show. It certainly wasn't him going on a trash the classics tangent. And it most DEFINITELY wasn't him turning out to be an Obsessive Anti-SJW from 4chan who misses the point of the stuff he tried to critique and overhates over dumb shit (see: Synthetic Man, another YouTuber I stopped watching a year ago) Oh, no... IT WAS HIS WOKE GIRLFRIEND!
Yeah, there were warning signs that there was something as blue as a Smurf attending an Eiffel 65 concert whilst riding a Gyarados as Cortana from Halo watched in the background about him in his Lightyear review where he dismissed the backlash over the Kiss, but I could get over it, as although the Kiss and the subplots and messages leading to it are the most notable things wrong with that film, there was plenty more flaws to talk about. Then, I saw his top 20 least favourite films list, #16 or #15 or whatever was The Last Airbender, he said he didn't have a connection with the original Avatar TLA cartoon show, so he bought on a guest star.... Who turned out to be his girlfriend, who was a Bisexual Woke Animation Fan who immediately began talking about "REPRESENTATION!" and "SEEING CHARACTERS WHO LOOKED LIKE ME!", and that was when I knew I made the right move by not subscribing to him. And then it turned out I was, so I did the honours.

Look. You can be as left-leaning as you want. You can date someone who has her/his political opinions on display. But you do NOT bring in someone with views as alienating as THAT into your video and put them on full display for all to cringe at. If you do so, you alienate your viewers and you get people sneeding and taking the mickey out of ya. No matter what you are, know this: I watch reviews to be informed about a product's quality, not to be lectured.

Those are pretty clearly scam bots in the comments.

He plans on making an updated, more well thought-out review of Lightyear later down the line. So we'll see if he's gonna address the concern over how this kiss scene would in no way pass in the 80s (the year this film takes place in/around when Andy saw it), let alone in a kid's film in autistic detail. Or he'll ignore it/bash anyone who continues to see issue with it with reasons above (worst case scenario).

I knew he'd have the most cucked of takes but he still annoyed me hard.

Like first off it's just total trans propaganda that Rowling hates transsexuals. Rowling is only a source of contention by saying there's a fucking difference between actual biological women and trannies. That's something we all fucking know, anyone who argues otherwise is in denial or in fear of cancelation.

Finally he then makes the claim that we've always had people who broke the "gender binary" because of royals who may or may not have been gay? That line of thought is actually fucking homophobic imagine traveling back in time and telling the Ancient Romans men that they're not ALL MEN because of their infamous love of sodomy. They would have beaten you to death and probably raped you in the process.

Edit: Adam also appearently doesn't get what "Death of an Author" means. It only is an argument that the author's intentions shouldn't weigh on interpretations of the work.

Thing is I wound up thoroughly confused as to what Lolicon even is. In art terms, is it any drawn depiction of children or characters who look like children (so for example are the little sister characters from 1980s cartoons technically lolicon art)?
Or is it only lolicon if its some of the crap he showed where clearly the artist wants you to be eyeballing their "features?"
The definition changes depending on who you talk to and what side they fall on, but it sounds like that guy just wanted to make himself seem normal for whacking it to lolis and not get called a weirdo for it.

Beige Frequency, I enjoyed some of his videos until I went back to watch an older one and heard "and I'm not necessarily against kids transitioning"

My fastest unsub to date
Just watched his latest and oof does he unintentionally unmask what he is really about and I have to unsub.

He critiques Amy Schumer's new mini-show--blandly. It is pretty clear outside opinions on O&A and bad standup that he is just running on narrative. Pretty fucking sad. I had tolerated some of his previous bad takes but gotta bail after this video.

Really bums me out that some creators that I enjoyed even if just for background noise cannot stop deviating from their strength. I stopped watching This is Monsters as well. He definitely has a strong bias and I just had to stop. There is also the fact that he is lazy as fuck and leaves all kinds of editing mistakes in his videos. I have noticed some other creators doing the same shit. I wonder if repeating a five second chunk of narration is some kind of algo bait or if some of these people cannot bother to listen to their twenty minute video for mistakes.

Oh and he low key defends the previous seasons of the show while ignoring the joke theft.

Speaking of Transformers reviewers, Peaugh kind of pissed me off when he jumped on that one dude alone with everyone else labeling him a pedophile without evidence and virtually excommunicating him from the toy review "community". I can't remember his name off hand, but it's like everyone jumped on it for maybe one or two sus jokes that the rest of the community took seriously. I remember Optibotimus joining in on the dogpile as was a couple of others. I've cut off a lot of the Transformers figure reviewers from my perview because a lot of them repeat the same shit, and there's no divergence.
No, the only figure reviwer I tend to watch nowadays is Jobby (and not because he SOMEHOW managed to get David Kaye to do voice work for him, still trying to figure out how the fuck that happened).

Are you seriously simping for SeanxLong right now? That man is a jackass of the highest order.
he was on collection intervention because he literally couldn't stop buying toys.
He lost his girlfriend and his apartment because he couldn't stop buying toys.
he had to sleep on people's couches and still couldn't stop buying $300 Hot Toys.

And as someone who has ran into him in person at a convention, I can also add: he's a manlet and he smells like pee.

Optibotimus however, deserves his own thread. Paul is a well of idiocy that truly flows freely.
Remember when his girlfriend left him because he didn't stop doing his review of movie masterpiece jazz when she wanted to go and visit her dying child in the hospital? (Kid died that day btw).

He also routinely uses his insulin money to buy toys.

not a video per se, but I was subbed to vash12349 for a long, long time, then I stumbled across his Twitch account. He spends 90% of his streams bitching about his audience, that he has to interact with them and the things the comment sections say. It wasn't just whinging either, he clearly had a deep anger towards the people he'd mad a living out of entertaining. Seeing him in that context revealed how much of an insufferable bitch he was, and I promptly unsubbed

No. I'm not simping for him, I'm just merely pointing out how fucking stupid a lot of the bullshit was surrounding him. It's one thing to have a community try and help him deal with an addiction, but a lot of the discourse wasn't exactly helping anything either. And it wasn't SeanxLong, there was someone else in the community at the time that was getting dogpiled on as well.

Yeah. Optibotimus is a lolcow in and of his own self. Wait. He seriously uses insulin money for figures? I knew about the kid thing (that was fucked up enough), but this is something new to me.

Talking about optibotimus. Remember that Coke add he did? Top fucking tier cringe. People in the comments celebrating his endorsement was hilarious.

I was there and it was definitely Seanxlong.
It was 2008 and the stolen Chinese toy wars were at their peak.
Now if you don't know about the stolen Chinese toy wars let me summarize it' people were paying massive massively inflated prices to get toys upwards of a year early( well before reveal.) This was so they could be the first person to review that toy and therefore get the views and AD revenue. These were stolen preproduction figures, with missing paint/accessories and horrible QC.

Seanxlong was one of the most subscribed YouTube toy reviewers at the time. It was back when YouTube was much smaller so 10,000 subscribers made you almost a minor d-list celebrity.

Now the incident in question happened as follows: Seanxlong and a few of his associates were in some sort of voice chat private group, and for some reason they decided to add this random 14-year-old girl that was a big fan of SeanxLong. (These are all men in their mid to late twenties by the way).
He then made a dirty joke that was directed at said child. "The bee shoots its honey all over the flowers face".

The girl got uncomfortable left the chat and then told her mom. Her mom emailed SeanxLong and rightfully bitched him out and he responded back acting like a dick head and he did nothing wrong.

Since this was before social media was huge, so you couldn't just post a screenshot and @ someone, you had to figure something else out. So they reached out to number two and number three biggest subscribed reviewers at the time (peaugh and optibotimus).

Now there was a fair bit of bad blood between Seanxlong and those two. Optibotimus hated him because he kept sniping him in the stolen Chinese toy wars. Peaugh didn't like his attitude, behavior ,and his general "I'm better than you" act.

Optibotimus made a super clickbait crying bitch video reacted like a woman. I remember it was super over the top and dramatic and he really came across like Nancy Grace. (He took it down the same day iirc).

Peaugh made two videos.
The first one was more of a general" be careful there's weird people on the internet". Without naming any names.
He got in contact with SeanxLong and tried to explain to that absolute autist that what he did was very inappropriate. Sean long did what he does best act like a big faggot retard, and said he dindu nuffin.

3 to 4 days after the first video he then made his second video.
This one laid out names said exactly who did what, and even linked to the girls YouTube channel who had posted the offending audio clip, along with the text of the emails in the video description (all of these are lost to time now).

Now this led to a fair bit of fallout for Sean Long. Not because he's sexually harassed a minor, but because it came out that he was violating his sponsorship contract with sideshow collectibles via participating in the stolen Chinese toy wars and buying a stolen sideshow collectible figure, in order to be the first one to review it.

The best take on the situation was from internet personality vange1us: (despite his Canadian nature and some of his Canadian beliefs, and being a Canadian, he has always been one of the classiest gentlemen that I run into at transformers conventions) "why aren't you monitoring your child's internet usage?".

Talking about optibotimus. Remember that Coke add he did? Top fucking tier cringe. People in the comments celebrating his endorsement was hilarious.

"WHETHER IM FILLING UP MY CUP, IM ALWAYS DRINKING COCA-COLA"
Optibotimus is kinda like if OPL got the help he needed as a kid. No matter what you do, you can't fix retarded, only delay it. If anyone wants to help me with an OP for a Paul thread, that would be excellent. I'm gonna try to dig up old shit from his various saga's.

Cvit has some shit opinions but I watched him for talking about niche ps2 games I played in my childhood. But his latest review started with a dead meme so bad that I unsubbed immediately out of sheer cringe (it was the "We can get much higher" One Piece meme).

Equating liking good music made by Europeans to being a race supremacist is definitely a retarded take. Does he suggest we should teach kids about mumble rap instead?
Adam would never suggest mumble rap. He would suggest some ultra faggy, black women playing really shitty punk music, out of tune, and he would cream his bugman panties over it.

All that musical knowledge, and he is a very smart guy, and he cannot make any decent music. He has no soul, like all urbanites.

Okay, so this is not a video per se but actually a community tab post. I don't consider myself a fan of Sunnyv2 but his content is easy and digestible background noise you can put on for a nice brainless summary. It's like fast food. It's not nutritional but it gets the job done if you want quick and easy shit.

And you can always fact-check later on with people who make proper meals (read; factually correct and in-depth videos about the same topic).

However, I had to unsubscribe when Sunny posted this;

Screenshot_20230305_040745_com.google.android.youtube_edit_115455620972486.jpg

It rubbed me in a lot of bad ways. Initially, I read it as him being so lazy that he was actually asking his fucking viewers to do research for him and then I was thinking of how he was going to fact-check shit, people sent him. Someone could just make up nonsense and he'd have no way of verifying that. Assuming he'd even go through the effort.

Thirdly....there are countless iceberg videos, documentaries, and shit on the creeps on TCAP. There's an entire community dedicated to it. Toad McKinley has two stellar videos on the rise and fall of Chris Hansen. The fuck can Sunny add to the discussion?

Edit: my O key broke for a moment.

Sunny v2 is just a normie Toad Mckinley and with a higher video output. I honestly could never stand his content because it was way to overproduced for me to enjoy watching.

I really liked Leadhead until they trooned out. I tried to watch there stuff afterwards but it went way to far into naval gazing for me to enjoy and the videos where pretty far up their own ass to start with/

Not necessarily a YouTuber in question that I stopped watching, but I had to chill out and stop watching YouTubers that had to censor the words “suicide” and “rape” on their videos when it comes to talking about sensitive topics.

I get that YouTube guidelines don’t want to harm or affect any small children or parents of small children from seeing things that would harm their psyche,
There's little to get. Websites should not be expected to parent for parents or consider themselves to be. The guidelines exist for lazy parents who's kids are going to end up getting groomed online because they cannot parent. Ironically that is far more harmful than words in videos.
