Teachers set off fire alarms in a bid to quell 'TikTok riots' organised by secondary school pupils protesting unisex toilets as the social media movement continues to rock Britain's classrooms.

Oasis Academy Mayfield school in Southampton was at the centre of protests this week as around 300 students chanted 'toilet rights' amidst anger against 'unfair' new toilet rules.

Similar protests occurred at nearby Weston Secondary School, Hampshire, as pupils took to the playground to vocalise how 'uncomfortable' they feel having to use unisex loos and rules dictating when they are allowed to go.

Once Monday's protests had dispersed, senior leadership team then came down hard on rebellious Year 11s, threatening that if they are to take part in protests, they would not be allowed to attend their prom.

The protests come amid a nationwide movement organised on TikTok, reportedly organised among school pupils, with demonstrations having taken place in schools across the country - from Cornwall, Leeds and North Yorkshire to South Essex and Lincolnshire.

A Year 11 student from Oasis Academy Mayfield said: 'Unisex toilets make me feel extremely vulnerable and uncomfortable. It feels sometimes as if I don't have as much privacy as I would like due to these toilets. Also, it is really damaging when I am not allowed to go to the toilet while I am on my period. It feels as if I have to fight against the teachers for a basic human right and it makes me wonder if our school is truly as progressive as they say they are.'

Another added: 'People chanted both 'toilet rights' and 'equal rights' voicing the fact they generally feel uncomfortable by use of the gender-neutral toilets.

'This was ultimately shut down by the senior leadership team who pulled the fire alarm to remove the students from the building.

'Another protest was planned by students for the next day in the multi-use games area, so there is more space and would be much more carefully arranged in terms of safeguarding.'

Another 'TikTok riot' last Friday even forced Warriner School to scrap new rules on a 'gender neutral' PE kit and a ban on girls wearing skirts.

The school in Banbury Oxfordshire has since backed down, saying it had reversed its decision to enforce a gender-neutral uniform policy.

On the school's website, Dr Annabel Kay, the executive headteacher, apologised for 'under-estimating the strength of feeling on this issue' and 'not properly engaging or consulting with all parents and students'.

She said: 'We have listened to our students and we are committed to engaging further on our uniform policy, and on other future policy changes, with both parents and students in a constructive and positive manner.'

At another school in Greater Manchester, students are being forced to queue outside before being 'searched' to check they have their 'learning resources ready'.

But I mean, imagine being a boy and in a unisex bathroom, I know I would have felt awkward and extremely uncomfortable taking a leak with girls in the same room.
I'd have little issue with the actual physical act. My issue is that it's inefficient. Throw up a trough urinal and you can permit many men to urinate much faster than a system designed around stalls with toilets in em.

Once again, we see dumb politics take precedence over functionality and I am sick and tired of it.

Men and women are different, and excretory facilities ought to leverage this to maximize throughput. No one wants to hangout in the shitroom.

"Making a hasty toilet" sounds like he's building a toilet. Just say "go to the bathroom/restroom" and you won't sound like a massive retard.
I mostly use restroom because saying bathroom confuses foreigners and is weird once you think about it.

Aw, the Marxist indoctrination mill running into a little push back, is it?
You know it’s not surprising that an environment that has complete control over children’s or anyone’s daily activity would attract unabashed marxists. It’s a literal captive audience.

LMAO that's a felony charge.

Oh, this is the UK, they'll probably get away with it.
The one thing I've learned about watching the UK these past few years is that the law is basically whatever the people in charge want it to be.

They'll throw Tommy Robinson in jail for naming a rapist, but they won't throw the rapist in jail because he's a brown guy... say what you want about the American Justice system, but that kind of flat-out ignoring the law doesn't really happen here to the same extent. Here, it's more based on how much money you have for decent lawyers and if something is really egregious, at least you can vote out the judge or DA. In the UK, it's all very much "fuck you, listen to your betters; they know what you need better than you do" where "what you need" is always "more military aged Arab men to turn your 1200 year old white city into a Sharia Law Zone".

We know the loony troons don't care about the safety or comfort of girls, but it's always startling to me how mean they can be to boys too.
Boys deserve single-sex spaces just as much as girls. Boys don't want to change in front of girls, even if the girl gets a bowl cut and says her name is Draco.
Also this totally refutes the idea that teenagers and children are open-minded and accepting when it comes to gender madness. Good on them for standing up for themselves and protesting.

That menstruation thing is stupid and a woman problem... boys would just take it out an throw it at the teacher if they forced them to soak in their own blood...

Funny to me that these kids haven't thought of having a trusted male peer accompany them or stand guard in the restroom when they need to go, assuming these restrooms have stalls.

I mean after all if it's unisex what are the aspiring rapists who want this going to do? Say that it's not fair to have a male accompany a female student into a unisex bathroom because they feel unsafe?

That's pretty cool and I hope the teachers get in trouble for falsely pulling a fire alarm. Banning skirts is super dumb too. Just let the girls choose to wear pants if they want. Standing up against restrictions of when you can go to the bathroom is another good cause. Teachers/schools that have those rules are just being petty tyrants. Plus you shouldn't have to get a doctor's note to use the bathroom when you want if you have Crohn's disease like my school did bc it's none of the teacher's business and they are not a medical professional.
