i'll explain why i hate him as a content creator though. i apologise in advance if it's a bit rambling:

like probably most people reading this, i saw a shit ton of gore online as a kid - that's life. many go through an edgy phase where you'll visit rekt threads, or liveleak or bestgore or ogrish, or fucking whatever.

but the difference now, thanks to people like moth, is that they attach layers of mystique to videos of human and animal suffering. looking up gore is something teenagers will do. but moth, through his "mixtapes" makes these things seem worthy of coveting, where now kids will brag about having access to videos like 1b9p, or ylym darkforest. teenage psychology is such that if something is spoken of in whispers, kids will 100% seek it out. so issue one is that moth's videos deliberately lead kids down increasingly dark paths. i remember speaking with some other farmers a few weeks ago about some kid's youtube account which was full of normal shit like roblox videos, and also a video of the audio from 1b9p, clips from funkytown and all that.

it's pure exploitation content. he doesn't even try and hide the fact. to me, that is some real pathetic shit.

and finally: his voice is really, really, really fucking gay. no offence meant to homosexuals by comparing them to someone as low as moth. grown man with dreadlocks trying to sound like the crypt keeper. fucking goofy shit.

thank you guys for giving me these in-depth summaries of what the whole deal is w/ him. From what I'm getting, and correct me if I'm wrong, the issues are:
- he is insensitive when dealing with the topics of his videos, and more or less profits off of other people's suffering
- he (and his wife) are just rude to other people, and the way he sucks up to other content creators is off-putting
- his videos are not well researched and he is way too confident about assertions that are uncertain, leading to misinformation being spread.
- his content is directed at children and works to get children into gore media
- his wife is ugly (???)
- he's cringe

honestly his behavior reminds me a lot of child abuse victims i've known, in his inability to handle conflict and his odd means of self-expression (not that thats any excuse but it is interesting). this information has definitely changed my mind about him and his content, particularly the fact that his content isnt well-researched. i have trouble believing that his content is directed at children, but i do wish he did a better job of emphasizing that desensitization to gore is seriously awful for you, and that in talking about the contents himself he's satiating people's morbid curiosity without having to show all the traumatizing stuff. His insensitivity towards gore topics is something I'm not sure is a bad thing, because at the moment i don't see how it directly does harm to people, and i don't think he does either.
He is still a guy with a family though, and at that, a guy that's using some of the money he gets to go to therapy. Still, he has talked about him and his family getting harassed in this much longer than necessary video, and I really don't think he's making that up. He, and especially his kid, don't deserve to have their safety be put into question IMO. If anything, i think he ought to get a stern talking-to about the nature of his content and made to improve for the better or be driven off of youtube by some means, maybe through some sort of serious allegation that comes out.
