Resident Evil - Virgin Vampire Wine Mom vs Chad Magnetic Lebowski

It reminds me of when The Twin Snakes trailer first dropped and everyone (me included) lost their shit over it. And when you got it, you realized how bad you were lied to.

The modern gamer is just into graphics and nostalgia bait. That's a 10/10 every time.
My own headcanon is stolen from a post I saw somewhere years which is that the way to look at Twin Snakes is that it's the movie adaptation of Natasha's exposé and based on peoples' idealised or exaggerated memories and retelling of the Shadow Moses incident. I find when you approach it like that the game makes a lot more sense and you can ignore the more ridiculous shit even though I still love the game.

On the Saddler thing, EVERYONE already knows what he is, RE4 was ported to absolutely everything. Why would they need to hide it? What would be the point? Would anyone be surprised? Him turning out to be a plagas monster leading to a bossfight, just like everyone else before him, was not the least bit surprising even when the original came out. If you want the game to be exactly like the original just play the original on any electronic device you own. It's probably been ported to smart fridges by now.

That's an interesting idea. Sort of like the original The Hobbit and the revised The Hobbit that made it fit into The Lord of the Rings. The original is the book Bilbo is writing at the start of LOTR and he is making himself look better in that one(he wasn't just given the ring by Gollum). Tolkien's revised edition is what actually happened.

There is a MGS movie in the works despite being in development hell for so long. It would've felt like the good ol' days after 9/11.

I've seen the concept art dump for that and I pray it's never made. Let MGS stay dead.
Eh, I heard the director helming it (who also directed Kong: Skull Island) is a huge diehard fan of MGS and the works of Hideo Kojima, so you may never know. After all, Jeff Fowler is a huge Sonic fan even before he made the two Sonic movies and its upcoming third.

Oh god, I forgot that little brown manlet is supposed to be Snake. Like fuck off.
Well, who do you cast to play someone who is a mashup of Snake Plissken and John Rambo? A little brown manlet is far from my first choice, but Hollywood has made sure there's nobody around who is even close to qualifying.

I watched the complete long form gameplay of RE4 and while I was fine with the RE2 shotgun coming back, the RE3 shotgun is in there. Repurposing weapons like that for a game you're expected to go all out for is not reassuring. I forgot how AWFUL Salazar was.

The comments on Youtube are infuriating. It's all the same reaction without anyone even critically thinking about what they're even seeing. Like did they even know why they liked the original?
My thoughts exactly. I loved original Louis, and I like what I've seen so far of new Louis too, it is okay to like both. But I'm seeing comment after comment from people only saying shit like, "Wow, I like this #NewLouis so much more than the old one, he's so much more realistic, and he's getting so much more character and personality!" (this being after only a couple trailers...)

I'm thinking to myself, did everyone just fucking have a stroke and forget the "big cheese" line? Or any of the others, like The Fucking Ballistics? Did they forget Louis helps you in the original too and is also a cheeky Spaniard? There were plenty of reasons to like him back then, and the extra written lore expanded his character and background. It made you wonder if Louis tragically got to see the consequences of his research and how his home was destroyed by it. But going off of half these comments you'd think he was a fucking boring cardboard cutout in the original that everyone hated... It's like they've forgotten why they originally liked RE4 in the first place... very baffling hype train.
but by god mods will fix like half this games problems.
It's the only way anyone is getting Ashley titty or Ada leg anytime soon... bless the modders.

Whenever a remake is made people like to start saying the original was bad. Think of TLOU. That was a game everyone loved but once a remake was announced, people started saying the original was outdated. Sometimes you wonder if half of the worlds population are built in factories.

Gamers aren't exactly known for nuanced thinking and understanding you can like multiple things for different reasons. It's just typical autistic black and white world views, usually sheepishly repeating something some retard with """influence""" on twitter or youtube said.

Every time a new piece of marketing comes out for this game I'm astounded by how little I care. RE4 is one of my all-time favourites. I was obsessed with it growing up. But fuck me, this remake almost seems engineered to remove all the fun from both the gameplay and story. This should be an easy day 1 buy for me based on my history with the game, but I'm utterly repulsed by it. I just can't believe they've fucked up such an easy win.

I echo the above posters' sentiments too; it's infuriating how little the audience for this game are paying attention to what's been shown, and the fact that they seem to have no understanding of why the original was good and that the remake has thrown it away.

I was really optimistic, and then they revealed how much they completely fucked Krauser.

The gay inflection and head nod here is so try hard and cringe. Again, they don't understand at all why people loved Leon in that. He wasn't some broody emo faggot. He was a super agent smartass with dry humor.

They ruined "no thanks bro???"
Man FUCK this game.
