So, from everything above thread, and by her own words, Claire got hacked locally (if I was to guess, either a dumb phishing type email or a Minecraft mod). She wasn't Ralph-tier stupid and just using one password for everything. Bonus points there.
Even before this happened, she was self-aware enough to realize she was in over her head and tried to offload it to at least Odysee and Null. She made a decent stream of income, more than enough to cover the costs of the services she was running. As such, she was developing a decent-sized community (across multiple platforms) of Jimwalkers, Kiwis, and other assorted weirdos. Heck, she developed enough of a following to get monetized on Youtube (granted off the backs of Kiwis and her community), but it was largely gained from dumping on Drunkieta the Balldo King and Ralph in a concise and somewhat friendly manner. In terms of a side-hustle, especially for a family only making a modest income, it seemed like a win.
But eventually it all caught up to her, and now that community is dead. Her background is out there, her nudes (they were fine), finances, etc. I guess that's a win for Claire's alawgs? I don't get the hate for her on here but whatever. Hell, I even pity her a bit. o7
The easy response is similar to what Josh has run into with kwf: set up your own instance, set up your own bank, set up your own internet... this shows some of the dangers of doing so. To be fair, she should put a static page up for a month on chudbuds.lol saying what users should do, but honestly? DFE is the right move too (in addition to the notice).
It's interesting to see the fedi instances that have survived. Most "in the sektur" seem to be run by people who are tech savvy (Alex on Gleasonator, Graf on Poast, Moon at SPC, et al), but even Kiwi.cc hasn't existed in half a year. Guess these darn trolls are why we can't have nice things.
OVPN, PIA, and others have proven in court they do not log. If you want to conspiracy theory that go for it but for the overwhelming majority of all people on Earth, it is sufficient.
Use Tor if you want. There's a fun DOJ docket out there that's not public because they identified a Tor user and they don't want to reveal how they did it. Is it a silly fed meme to make Tor users scared? Who knows.
I just always assumed Tor was a fed honeypot. But why not use their own tools to shitpost every now and then?
