Its really kind of incredible just how much he desperately chases anyone else with even a slight hint of fame that he can leech off of. I think the 'transphobic cunt' line was probably felt to be a necessary concesson to avoid getting yelled at. That's what culture is going to be like from now on- a line at the beginning saying 'we don't support blah blah twaw blah blah' and then regularly scheduled programming. You will occasionally find travellers who are decent people. Nobody should be discriminated against for their ethnicity, and I've known people who are travellers who "got out" and they are decent people who had unique perspectives on stuff (I actually dated one for a bit).

But Travellers as a whole? Watch your bag and evacuate at the first opportunity if they turn up in a pub or ride their horse drawn carriages down your street. No good can come from associating with their community. For our international friends, travellers are different from Romani people but both are often called gypsies. (Travellers are more commonly called pikies, tinkers or knackers though. Think Brad Pitt in that movie where he's all like "ya like dags" - fucked up Irish rather than a proper ethnic sub group).

I actually struggle with the fact I'm not supposed to acknowledge this to nice middle class liberals but travellers in the travelling community are people you need to get away from. If they move into a field and start illegally squatting it as a settlement (as they often do), just get out of dodge if you're able to, and if you're not, don't go near them and avoid local pubs and get a proper burglar alarm fitted (and for the love of God, don't let them do your driveway. The marble chips will turn out to be crushed up polo mints that melt in the rain and they'll have 8 year olds laying the asphalt).
