To play devil's advocate here: Dave wouldn't be the first fence sitter being on a podcast. It's actually something that most social media "influencers" experience: You can't really express strong feelings (especially negative) about anything, because you will upset thin skinned fans.
DSP didn't even use to be that spineless. 10 years ago he had no problem being honest about his hate for certain games and genres. I think he realized that he attracted a lot of additional detractors who were butthurt about DSP not liking their favorite bing-boing-yahoo game.
As this post is in danger of being much too nice to DSP: Of course he brings many other terrible qualities to hosting a podcast: No personality, terrible taste, low iq, humorless sack of shit.
