that'll 99% take care of anything, and even if they DID get your shit, it's probably not a major issue, because they don't care about you and I personally suspect most of claire's leaks are actually from dropbox or google drive or other such cloud shit that they accessed via passwords

I think she knew what she was getting into because everyone warned her over and over again, then she got straight up full doxed by a known fedi psycho who posted dox and pictures of her house on the fediverse, then she got swatted, then way later she did this shit and got hacked. Not only did some Kiwis warn her, fediverse people warned her, then basically awful shit crossing over into IRL life warned her and she kept it pushing. Moved forward at breakneck speed.

She is the only fedi admin I have seen dump a users DM logs publicly. Fedi users know admins can look into the database and pull DMs but even the fedi admins considered total nutjobs have never done that.

She did a bunch of dumb shit then if someone said "hey, slow down, you are doing dumb shit!" She would tap the sign and say "It's my website and I'll run it how I see fit!"

The narrative that she is just a poor innocent mother who got h4x0red by the bad guys over there is gross lol.

There is much stated here that I was unaware of. I responded to claire when she was posting each and every technical grievance openly on her instance. This was all in the first weeks of her spinning up. I was trying to warn her against certain practices, namely operating ssh to her VM via her dedicated streaming, gaming, bookkeeping, "everything" PC. Posting incessantly about her technical ineptitude was a terrible idea. Policing her own server for hours each day was a waste of time IMO others could do that task and allow her more time to learn and institute better practices. She continued to diversify her time further via matrix servers, guilded servers. minecraft servers etc. despite struggling with the instance. I gave up after quickly and assumed my efforts were futile.

EDIT as follows:
It was the guilded server that was the final straw for me. She had looked for something to replace her discord server (which was shutdown and deleted for some reason). I explained to her that with guilded her data was not her own, invited her into my nextcloud, explained to her that it was open source, and that all data was stored locally within the server and not beholden to any outside corporate entity. I did the same with rocket.chat. Hell I even offered to let her use a fresh next cloud server until she has time to deploy her own. Sadly she failed to understand the merits of any of it and continued with her guilded server.
