Diseased TV Tropes community

Here's some opinion for you, so be warned. Y'know, aside from retarded gatekeepers and "trope-definers", TVtropes itself and it's consequences might have been a disaster for human race and story-telling in general. Not only do they try to build a system around something that is inherently arbitrary and random. They also (supposedly) have great cultural impact so that every art-nigger is rather obsessed over putting and re-defining tropes, than whatever he is currently writing.
Might be posted here already, but i'm not gonna roll through 600+ pages of text.

Yeah, people have been occasionally citing it as an valid source on this gaming forum that I frequent. Usually, it's over some type of narrative device that's somewhat accurate

The conspiracy theories pages has has gotten the jannies spooked because allegedly it's mostly the alt-right who believes in them. They also got an forced confession from one of the editors who created an media page on an certain show

I'm still archiving shit, but here's Area 51, Columbine, those sandnigger assassins that were named after hash, Hitler Ate Sugar, America gun politics and those Mexican cartels that funds them, Bermuda Triangle, Alien Invasion (IRL ranting about colonialism), American Civil War 2.0, conflatimg global domination with imperialism, Lizard people, and many more.

Jesus, the website was always cringe but it at least used to be fun.
Yeah it's getting to be unusable now. You have to walk on eggshells to talk about anything, else you risk offending some psychopath. I thought avoiding the forums would make this a non-issue, but this extends to editing now as well.

The way how this happened is just proof that I’m willing to argue that it was a “trans” man that did this instead of a lesbian.
The trannies are running the show for sure. Every work I care about has some huge blurb about gender identity or trans interpretation buried sonewhere...that just so happens to be embarrassingly long.

I mean every once in awhile it's great to have a label for discussions with friends and such of motifs in stories.

Like "flock of wolves" is great. It's something that doesn't come up so often in stories everyone knows the term for it, but it is just often enough that people can get the concept right away when explained to them.

Yes they abuse it by going overboard ("here's an article on a term we call 'protagonist'...") but the idea isn't bad in and of itself.

Faced with an permanent forum ban for misgendering an fictional character, some rando is swinging back at the mod team.

Why? Because 2023 is still the Year of the Clown.
Oh snap, I'm preserving that.

Your defense is not convincing as the derail you started on the Fighting Games thread had nothing to do with the rights of real LGBTQ people.
if you're trying to pull the "derailing the thread" card, maybe you should've looked at the train of thought that that thumped post came from, because we had people outright calling an entire website bigoted because they wanted to keep tagging Bridget as "1boy" despite his current trans girl status, for solely practical reasons as far as i can understand from the relevant Danbooru threads.
all i did was point out that Bridget is fictional and, if you really are someone who believes in the LGBTQ movement as i assume that person did, would it not be a better time fighting for real persons' rights?
then i end up here because that can apparently be interpeted as "bigoted", and "invalidating" a fictional character's genderView attachment 1678159023085.webp. which, if that's the case around here, fair enough, i will stay banned because i'm not about to start enabling these sorts of leaps of logic for forum privileges i use once or twice a year, if even that. it just seems like now i'm suddenly banned for differing reasons than what i was initially here for, so which is it?
for what it's worth, i have no problem with the LGBTQ community at large. all i was doing was calling someone out for, as your own rules put it, "being a dick". it rubs me the wrong way seeing someone call an entire website's community "bigoted" because they did not grovel at your feet and lick the boots you wear that are labeled "identity politics". being a dick goes both ways, if the person i replied to was someone who made it their life's mission to say "Bridget isn't a girl", you'd see me say practically the same things to them too. you can refuse to believe that if you want, no skin off my back.
We are fine with keeping you forum banned but as a reminder that a repeat of the behavior that led to your thumped posts will not be tolerated anywhere on the wiki.
you don't have to worry about that. i'm not the bigot that you guys assume me to be, i'd probably die of old age before you guys see me being apparently accidentally bigoted anywhere else on this site.

The Boys is one of the favorite shows of the users at TV Tropes for predictable reasons (they love comparing Trump to Homelander, and his fans to Trump supporters)

I took a peak at the unbanning thread and it is actually peak comedy. I have to admit, you can kinda, sorta understand why the mods are so condescending because a lot of the dudes in that thread appear to either be kids or mentally ill. One thing I found pretty funny was this line

If you don't want the prisoners to talk to each other, then maybe don't make this a public forum dipshit. Of course they're gonna compare notes.

That's really super funny because they also make fun of the left. A lot. I guess they don't want to think about it or remember how Maeve was made into a cartoonish lesbian stereotype by Vought and the public ate it up like pigslop just like...ooohhhh....the TVtropes community definitely would. Or how The Deep was constantly featured in environmentalist shit despite not caring at all, or A-Train having a parody of the Kylie Jenner pepsi commerical. This is all shit they would suck out of a RL corporations ass. The mindless, leftist consumers in the show are a perfect encapsulation of the common TVtropes user. The cognitive dissonance required to skirt their brains around this is amazing.

The cowardly, pathetic Hughie in the beginning of the show is them. Likely having rooms full of childish shit, having no real direction in life, sitting around eating pizza rolls and watching TV all day. I guess it'd take some amount of self reflection or a step out of Us VS Them camp for them to see both sides are taking a beating.

No, I meant actually citing it in the same way as people citing Wikipedia to support their arguments. Granted, it's rare when it happens; but it.gets.an chuckle out of me.
