When I was younger, I would _allegedly_ pull stunts like this but as I've long forgotten my teen years (now a distant memory) I find their behavior to be of weakness, not clever, very straightforward hacks. Having to gain access through social engineering is not impressive.

Not saying that it isn't a valuable tool; however historically, an impressive hack requires a lot more than a simple lie and gaining access.
Same thing as a simple XSS vuln shown by one of those pentest tools you find on github. It's not impressive.

However I know where you are coming from, and I will say that I think it's a very useful and valuable tool, and some of my favorite hacks throughout history depends on that tool, just for a proper hack that i would find pretty fucking cool; this is not, it's stupid and anyone could have done it. Further more the goal wasn't worth the effort either. Just a fedi degen fucking up other ppls fun for no good reason.
The way I see it, which I didn't really expound upon at all in my prev. post; I think a social engineering hack could be really cool even if it requires more complex negotiations as well as more complex deceptions. Anyone can say, "hey i need shell real quick to help you with [insert reason here]", but something impressive, i.e. getting the source code for a cellphone's firmware while calling from a payphone, talking to a secretary, gaining her trust, and being able to convince her that you are legit is pretty fucking impressive. (I think that was Kevin Mitnick, that was a serious hacker/social engineer).

Appreciate the sensible tone btw.
