Unpopular Opinions about Video Games

Sexy women in video games are great, and should make a big comeback. I don't give a fuck if feminists pretend that ugly bitches are "realistic" or "empowering", nor do I give a fuck about virtue signaling neopuritans who think that the only time women can be attractive is in pornography. The dearth of sexy women in gaming has killed a huge amount of my passion for the hobby, and now that even Japan is now cucking out, such as with Resident Evil 4 being censored and Ashley turned into a middle aged soccer mom, the last bastion of sexy women in gaming is dying.

When sexy chicks can't even be found reliably out of Japan, I'll probably give up on gaming for good, which will be helped by how mediocre to terrible they are as games most the time now. Thankfully I've been picking up more outdoor hobbies in recent years due to nerd hobbies being murdered.

Yeah the bug eyed and offensively ugly shitskins really add insult to injury. I could overlook the obsession with cramming nonwhites into everything if they were at least good looking, but they always pick the most bug eyed, hideous, noisy ogress imaginable. I'm somewhat curious how bad the border hopper chick in GTA 6 will be.

i mean for fucks sake sheva from re5 was great. lee from the walking dead was based. there are plenty of ways to make a black person cool or attractive but they just keep casting the same bug faced 0 charisma monster.

Ashley looks more attractive in the remake.
She looks in her thirties despite supposedly being a student and they got her covered up like a Catholic nun. It's a prime example of what I'm talking about, get your eyes checked. They even made her tits smaller lmfao.

Yeah, that's why I find it especially offensive. I know the point is to rub it in by making them ugly as sin, but rather than insulting my eyes, it just makes me not buy the game. Last game I bought with an ugly black chick was the original the Last of Us, and I hated it when Marlene was on screen.

Honestly, I think we don't get enough Galagas or Dig Dugs nowadays. Classic high-score chasing arcade titles like those are peak gaming. You sit me down with only a MAME install filled with those kinds of games and I'm content to play only those for the rest of time. I want to see more shit like that come out, completely devoid of microtransactions or online capabilities (beside maybe high-score leaderboards because those are always nice)
It's still sort of a thing: many puzzle games, the newer Pac-man games, indie throwbacks like Galacticon and Donut Dodo. You might say it's rather slim pickings, but everybody pining for a tranny-free redpilled no-DLC $2 billion budget AAAA sequel to Deus Ex or VtMB or whatever is doomed to permanent asspain and disappointment, so I'd count us the lucky ones.

Perhaps a worse casualty of modren gay men is the arcade action game designed to be played through in a single sitting. Bullet hells/shmups have rightfully told normies to eat shit, more should follow suit... these overlong 2 hour games with infinite lives are tiresome

I've tried basically every JRPG that people described this way and the only one that actually transcends the autistic weebery of the genre is Chrono Trigger.

And even then, it's just a good, solid game, not some life-changing experience.
tbh that is the specific game that made me stop trying to like jRPGs. would rather grind slimes for xp personally

I enjoyed Far Cry 3's narrative and don't really get why people have such a violent reaction to a fairly inoffensive spin on Heart of Darkness. I never got the impression that the gang were meant to be terribly likable. Watching Jason's descent into madness was interesting at the time, and the game came out when going "it's kind of fucked how many people you've killed, huh?" Was still a bit of a novel concept. Something the game lampshades but also doesn't let override your fun with constant guilt tripping.

The island was mysterious and compelling, a more interesting setting than literally everything that came after, with even its most serene areas have a dark and somewhat sinister undercurrent of danger and madness, reflected by the island's characters. Citra and the natives are certainly more interesting than the trust fund babies, but I think they all have a part to play in the game and you can even kill them all in the end of if that's what you're after.

Vaas is underutilized for sure, but at least he is utilized. The villains in the subsequent games might as well not exist at all.

I think 5 is fucking way overrated and 4's story is a far better example of 'characters/story so shit they ruin the game'. I'd take a million Jason Brodys over whatever the fuck they were going for with Ajay.

3 may not be perfect in design or execution but it's a far more ambitious and compelling game than almost all of the sequels.

They were barely in the game, and Keith, the most grating of them all, got literally Buck broken. Have no idea how they detracted from it. They're Jason's initial excuse for doing what he does, something the game itself acknowledges.

I love constantly hearing how choices have consequences only for Kyrat to be fucked regardless of what you do.
and banning candles, wow. such great character writing. and a protagonist that may as well be nameless and voiceless too with such complex ties to the villain...hoooray

Whether you think she's more or less attractive, they gave her that fucking gay animu hair.

The aesthetic output of that entire godforsaken country is coalescing to a singularity where soon every character in every piece of media will be identical clones of a platonic weebfag ideal.

If I think it's a good idea to brutally, wantonly murder all the protagonists at the end of a story, something has gone terribly wrong.

What did you expect from Japan? You could already look up her skirt in the original.

This is literally every single Far Cry game that Ubisoft has been behind. Including Far Cry 2.

People always act like Far Cry has copy/paste gameplay, but the theme/twists are far more egregious for it IMO. At least each map is different and they kept adding new modes of transport in each game. (well, until Far Cry 6 I think where all they did was add a shitty weapon system)
