I don't think 4, 5, or even 6 had a theme. Pretty much just do shit because people are doing shit. 2 was about the endless nature of conflict. 3 was the effects of that conflict on a person. I guess you can say 4 showed how both sides to a conflict can be shitty? It kind of falls flat on its face because Ajay never once questions anything he does. There is no major choice in the end. Killing Pagan or sparing him doesn't change anything and neither does killing whoever you gave your support to.This is literally every single Far Cry game that Ubisoft has been behind. Including Far Cry 2.
People always act like Far Cry has copy/paste gameplay, but the theme/twists are far more egregious for it IMO. At least each map is different and they kept adding new modes of transport in each game. (well, until Far Cry 6 I think where all they did was add a shitty weapon system)
