I've always hated that philosophy
"We can't stop people from making bad choices, so let's protect them from the consequences"

That's one of the things that made me drop libertarianism.

From their logic, people should be free to make bad choices as long as they aren't protected from the consequences of their actions.

However, those who make those extremely bad choices have a knack for becoming extremely upset and angry when other people do not shield them from the consequences of their actions.

And many times people's bad choices end up affecting other people who had nothing to do with the initial bad choice.

A world where people don’t have the freedom to make bad choices and to chimp out about the consequences of those choices is a world without lolcows.

I accept that often innocent parties will experience fallout from those bad choices, but laughing at lolcows is pretty much a human right.

No self-motivational birthday post from Russell this year, nor any followup regarding his big interview with the reporter.

Something tells me he may not have had that great of a day.
I suspect the "reporter" looked him up and either canceled or ran an article that didn't mince words about what kind of person Russ actually is.

Unpopular opinion, but the world would be better off with fewer lolcows.

Laughing at them is a means to cope with the second-hand embarrassment we experience when we watch them, for witnessing the tragedies they inflict on not just themselves, but anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.

Last time he got interviewed, they didn't bother to google him or do any research, so the website touted him as a "disability rights advocate" and even allowed him on the radio where they introduced him as such. He was very pleased with this.

Until it was brought to their attention just what sort of a person they'd just given attention and airtime to. They then changed the article to refer to him as simply a "brothel client" and also added a bit about his troubling history of suing celebrities and such.

He responded by calling this "yellow journalism" and leaving them a 1-star review of course.

NPR has always been pretty libtarded but lately they've really sunk to the level of clickbait nonsense written by retards. They also did an almost completely uncritical puff piece for the Troon Ranch right before it went belly up among allegations of rape and mass alpaca graves.

There's nothing quite like realizing your new co-worker's name is the same as this cow's and then realizing he has a thread over four thousand pages long. I'm in for a wild ride reading up on this guy, am I?
Oh yeah. Rusty has long stretches of dryness, but when he produces content, he absolutely produces.

(Also, Russ shares his name with an actual author, who is almost certainly a better person than him.)

Probably is, and the other Russell Greer has two novels to his name. He was a B-52 pilot during the Cold War. One of his novels is a "what-if" story about the Cold War going nuclear. Our Russ probably has no idea about the Cold War.

I feel sorry for Yovanna. She replied to him ONCE, to tell him thanks for the video (which she probably watched five seconds of) and he's still after her over a year later. And he expects her to remember him.

EDIT: WTF is he tagging Rob Thomas? Rob Thomas hasn't been relevant since dial-up was prevalent.
