Sorry for a little biology sperging, but if you go into the Jazz thread, there’s a good drawing of what the inside of an (actual) penis looks like.

The main space is taken by two pieces of spongy tissue called corpus cavernosum.

It’s this tissue that gets filled with blood when hard, and needless to say: A Phalloplasty “penis” doesn’t have that and is just, literally, a flesh roll.

That’s important because ED devices are designed for men, and designed to fit into where the corpus cavernosum is. (They’re usually also pointy because of this.)

Since FTMs are using an ED device designed for men in a fleshroll that doesn’t have the kind of cavities they’re designed to fit into, FTM getting ED devices always have a risk of the pointy ED device penetrating the skin. Like in this case.

TLDR: YWNBAM and they’re insane for signing up for these surgeries.

Everyone giving consent to any kind of medical treatment gets told a laundry list of scary potential side effects. We understand that the large chance of attaining the desired outcome is good enough to risk the small chance of something seriously bad happening. Of course transitioners are going to gloss over this list and focus on the expected benefits.

What detransitioners didn't understand was that these "side effects" are a lot more typical than they thought. They're not the result of unusually unlucky complications or particularly unqualified hackjobs; they're the natural consequences of defying nature. And the "good outcome" of successfully passing and finally feeling at peace was a lot less likely than they were led to believe.

Since day 1 I have this kind of lump on top of my pubis that is the size of a marble (you can kind of see it in the pictures; my vulva line is kinda inclined because of it). It used to be bigger than that, but then it infected after a month and, after a week of antibiotics, it shrunk to the size it is right now. It doesn't hurt or anything it's just a bit annoying since it's super close to the clitoral region. The clinic says it's scar tissue (nothing ro worry about) and they will look into it more in depth at my 1 year appointment.

The nurses have also said that I have a bit of hair in my vagina. I don't plan on having them removed for now.

Apart from that, I'm very satisfied with how it looks. I could have taken care a bit more of the scars but they still look good.

As for sensations, I'm still getting acustumed to the process of reaching an orgasm being longer, but the feeling is there. I haven't had a lot of opportunities to fully explore, but I did achieve to have an orgasm and it was fantastic.

Update 2023-02: Turns out the lump is the corpus spongiosum that isnt placed right. I'm probably to blame for that. I was up jumping around the second week and then the third week this specific region got infected :') Its the most sensitive part now tho. I've had multiple orgasms on my own and one with a partner and they've all been by applying pressure to the lump. It's awesome

I think, to be honest, a lot of it is surgical self harm. These girls really hate themselves, but a surgical site gives them something about themselves to look after, care about. I don't know, I could be talking out my ass.
