General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

I don't think I've seen anyone post about it but clock me if it has
Was poking around the holopirates community and saw some folks more or less confirming what many have already been suspecting was coming since we saw just how unhappy Hana was becoming with Nijisanji, which is that NijiID is likely to start seeing a number of graduations soon. Source apparantly being ZEA's recent membership stream.

dunno if maybe you'd know more @Rezza since you often have your eyes on more ID discussion than anyone else here I know of.
All I have heard so far is that one of the ex-ID talent Xia Ekavira mentioning on a stream somewhere (not sure if member or not) that she might not doing any sort of covers because it "isn't worth the effort", which could possibly tied with ZEA's plan, considering ZEA being more or less one of the musically-focused talent in ex-ID (ZEA can sing, while Xia is more of playing music instruments, but ya know, same fit).

There is also some evidence that was discovered that implies some of ex-ID talent are returning to their past life account or making a new one. Like for example, Hana Macchia has a completely new one where she "acted" as a male vtuber with at least some folks (on TVA, at least) seems to agree that its definitely her.

It might seem circumstantial evidences, but it might be catalyst of their graduations sooner or later. I can maybe see some of them leaving, but some are either still enjoying what they can do as a Niji talent, or that they don't want to lose what they have and not wanting to rebrand once again.

Kinda wishes that I can find some circle who can freely discuss the member stuff, tbh.

If you're not watching Pippa's stream you're doing yourself a disservice. Funniest shit all week.
I've been meaning to check out Pippa for a bit, I usually don't watch streams and stick to VOD only but I saw this come up in my feed and decided to put it on for a few minutes while doing other stuff.
I wound up watching for nearly 2 hours and I was in hysterics for most of it. I have no idea if this is her usual energy but if it is then I really should've started watching her ages ago.

Youtube numbers are being fucky to me.

What's the deal with every shondo tweet having a hundred quote replies from pronounfreak twelve year olds? Did something in particular happen?

That clip of her mocking the troons harassing her over the flat joke was posted on twitter two days ago and has gone viral with 15 million views and 7500 quote tweets if the new analytics are to be trusted. It's a doomscroll of seething pronoun lunacy.

VTuber seems to be the flavor of the month. Same crowd that went after Pikamee and Pippa.

with her liking comments bashing Nijisanji during her suspension as one of the stated reasons (and probably the last straw)
Knowing jap corps, this was probably decided internally a month ago and they were just trying to wait her out for a no compete plus any termination benefits she might get, and decided to tack anything recent onto it to bolster their side. not that I think they needed any more reason than they already had, but it reeks of corpo "well, acktually."

Confirmed, Zaion has been fired from NijiEN after being suspended a month ago, with her liking comments bashing Nijisanji during her suspension as one of the stated reasons (and probably the last straw)

A lot of this I addressed the other month and many of you deemed it petty and I agreed. However Japanese autistic practises and corporate 101 does not care and this is the end result. Frankly the audition pool for the these last two generations has to have been tainted, considering the poor form showcased by nearly everyone involved. Also rather pathetic of management do this in the middle of Vox's charity event. Could have done it a day before or after?

The list of reasons is a crock of shit, lmfao. And they say vshojo is pozzed
I'm glad they specified "offensive remarks regarding sexual assault" confirming they banned her over a joke at the behest of twitter trannies
The seething about liking "defamatory comments" is hilariously pathetic, everything else on the list is nonsense

the thing is that they word it like it was some serious shit but some of them are just really vague. and even if she actually did some fucked up stuff during her almost nonexistant career that only means that niji never bothered to make a little bit of a background check to see if their talents align with what they want to show.

It's annoying that Niji management even commented on the off-color jokes, considering most of what she got terminated for was breach of contract/Japanese company type stuff. She had like, 4 streams privated in her first two weeks for various reasons, so this isn't super surprising but it's still a shame. I hate to see anyone lose an opportunity like that.

I'm definitely going to keep my eye on if everyone saying that she's better off (and she may be!) is going to put their money where their mouth is.

I mean hell, they included "Falsely calming to be sponsored by a brand during a stream" when iirc all she did was make a sponsored by raid shadow legends joke. Considering Raid themselves are pretty fine with people taking the piss out of them during actual sponsorships I doubt they raised a stink themselves.
