Pony Town Community / pony.town - A My Little Pony MMORPG full of the worst users TikTok has to offer.

This guy Fizzbuzz is/was a moderator for the Something Awful brony offshoot forum The Round Stable.

there's nothing particularly interesting
My guy if only you knew how wrong you are. There's a link to a "memorial" on the page which leads to some haram tickle fetish shit that looks like its drawn by a 9 year old, because it probably was. (S/A), would've loved to post a screencap with it if the site let me.

Here's a screencap of the site.

It hurts to admit that I genuinely did consider this 'normal' for Pony Town user standards.

If only you knew how bad things really are.

A proper story starts at the beginning, you know.
Despite how much entertainment value there is between touch-triggers and meth addicts and the two interacting and the like, you might want to start at the beginning: the subject of the extremely elusive Agamnentzar who originally made the game. Agamnentzar has, over the course of several years, very methodically and deliberately deleted every trace of his fingerprint on the project, and has almost disappeared entirely in places beyond it, too. I'm not sure if I've ever witnessed a man so fully committed and successful in erasing his own history.
There is, at the heart and at the start of this, at the very least, a story of an individual consumed by paranoia. Understanding that very fascinating and very carefully expunged story is key to understanding what Pony Town is today, and how it became that.

Well don't be cryptic about it. Spill the beans on this guy.

Still has a live Fur Affinity (archive), a Twitter even if there's not much there, a Tumblr (archive), a Github, and, of course, a DeviantArt (archive). Literally all I did was highlight the username, right click, and search with Google, and I got plenty of info. Tell your fucking story or get the fuck out.

What can I say to what I have just saw:

1) Idk why anyone would call that "a game". What is its gameplay exactly aside of chatting with fellow tards and mutual butt touching with pixeled ponies?
2) 10k+ in a month sounds like a good working grift scheme (see point 1)
3) The post also could be cover exceptional individuals who developed that "game".

Overall, a great topic. With each knew day I learn how retarded the world truly is.

It's like Gaia Online for people too retarded for Gaia Online.

There's no trace left on the project itself anymore. There's traces of his existence in other places. It is greatly diminished, either way. He and others associated with him used to be quite active on Twitter, and there used to be quite a bit to examine there.

I'm not sure if it would be wise of me to talk about how he drew underage furry porn and spent Patreon money on underage furry porn commissions without having some sort of evidence on hand to back up my claims.

On second thought, perhaps not.
It doesn't really take any stretch of logic or imagination to accept that he was into underage furry porn, especially considering even just the little bit we can see from here. That said, I'll just continue.
To start, Pony Town was a fun little glorified chatroom with very few features besides some simple pony customization. As time went on, it grew and expanded, but the biggest thing that meaningfully changed was the complexity of the customization. Features beyond that were scarce and limited to things like friendslist or pony animations. At some point party-private customizable houses were added, which was the closest to the delivery of the "a game about ponies building a town" slogan the game had maintained beneath him.
It was a one-man project with glacial development speeds, but there was eventually a great deal of Patreon money coming in, mostly from the large userbase of children who'd pay for perks like a supporter tag and colored text.
He first craved the popularity of being cool and horse-famous, but he grew to hate the attention and scrutiny that came with it. People would ask for promised features instead of more character customization. People would question why dev time was so glacial with all the money coming in. People would question him spending the money on underage furry porn commissions. People would question why such a degenerate was in charge of a game overwhelmingly populated by underage users. People would question why pedophiles were allowed to run so freely rampant in an environment filled with children.
Agamnentzar hadn't originally intended for the game to take off as it did. He wished that the project had stayed something small and forgettable. He grew to hate the game and its players and the responsibility and obligation of dealing with it all, and sometimes publicly threatened to delete everything out of spite.
He became bitter. He withdrew. He did some abhorrent things out of bitterness that I can't speak of. He lost one-too-many arguments on Twitter and wiped the whole thing. Over the course of a year or two, he slowly removed his name from everything related to the project. His old wiped Twitter was rebranded to the present day Pony Town Team Twitter account, preserving follows while burying his past. Similar rebranding took place everywhere else his name was associated, in places like the Patreon and all the small text.
Eventually he handed over ownership of the project to some furry that nobody had ever heard of, and then publicly dropped the source code of the game at the same time before finally fucking off forever.
That's a brief recap of him, at least.
