And yeah DeSantis seems to be really trying to copy the MAGA style of Trump but failing. IMO it is not only a bad move to try and copy Trump's style when you don't have the charisma to pull it off, it makes no sense to bother to try and copy it.
Part of the reason DeSantis is even being pushed is the whole "he has less baggage, he is less mean, he knows how to speak ~like a politician~" and shit like that. Except have him try and act like Trump goes exactly against these arguments his supporters and sponsors are pushing. Instead he should focus on copying Trump's agenda instead but speak as himself.
Of course, if you instead look at this from the angle of a GOP desperate to try and eliminate El Naranja and go back to a comfortable grift with a controlable candidate/POTUS who won't do things like openly attack the glowniggers when they try and glownig around the world or demand that the conservative government actual conserves something other than Israeli foreign aid and defense contracts it makes sense. They wanna trick MAGA into thinking he is "just as good".

Earlier on in the election I figured the Democrat plan was to put up a "good fight" but hope for Trump to win since the writing was on the wall economically worldwide. They just can't handle it though, they need power!
