This particular rant is on a new level, but that line of thinking always makes my head spin. I'm guessing the heartfelt non-apology from the other day is already retconned then and he doesn't actually want to constantly be told he begs too much (this shocks me), but at the same time he can understand that too much begging might annoy the viewers.

His whole career has been begging even before Twitch. It started with "please click on the ads, and hopefully fingers crossed I can make this my living" and donations for shoutouts at the start, if Machinima didn't save him from himself at the last minute he'd never have been able to monetize. It's actually kind of curious how he monetizes at least ad revenue now as you can only make one Google Ad Sense account and ban evading is a no no.

Love though how it was TIHYDP and not Phil being an asshole to everyone that was the initial problem of him losing his "viral popularity" as if TIHYDP was forced on the Youtube audience. DSP seems to think people have no agency of their own and are easily directed towards things. Love how it was the false copyright strikes that had a nugget of truth merit that killed the audience that stuck around, because him setting his backlog to private and losing priority in the algorithm because he refused to pay anyone for video and streaming assets was the thing turning subscribers away from his content. It's not Phil's content becoming increasingly shitty in comparison to rising stars on the platform he only had views because there was next to no one and he spammed 30 videos daily, it was the trolls.

Isn’t it obvious that Phil skipped the Sterling video, not because Sterling talked shit about Phil, but because Phil desperately wants to make fun of Sterling in a dress and call him a fat faggot, but he knows he can’t get away with it anymore? But Phil is a huge ally… bitch, don’t make me laugh.

Let's not forget that Phil is probably still nursing that jealousy boner from back in 2015 when he got all butthurt that Sterling was pulling in like 10k/mo on Patreon alone. Exactly. DSP will never honestly address why his viewers had to be subjected to his toxicity in the first place, especially when it was directed towards them. DSP brings up Howard Stern to cope for creating Isaac Himmler but he was never on top (or backed by corporations) like Howard Stern was. DSP is more like a Don Imus or Greaseman (boomer radio guys fired for racial remarks), and like them he got destroyed by pushing hard against the razor's edge.
