Ethics Complaint Update
View attachment 4757782

This last one I find really interesting, especially if what he says in the end is true. If he send the email correctly and they bring up the fact that they didn't get an email without him mentioning the email (although this is probably just them saying they didn't get anything and he fucked up), but if they are deliberately trying to fuck with him it shows how terrible his reputation is and that does not bode well for ethics complaints and any future legal cases he is involved with. If this is true, it means they want to get him and if they want to get him it is likely they will find a way

He’s doing that, repeating the same thing every few minutes thing, druggies do. He’s got to be doing more hard drugs, more often. I can’t believe how fast he’s going downhill but it’s kinda impressive in a fucked up way.
Nah, my brother who is currently in rehab, is only an alcoholic and he would do the same thing. Hard drugs aren't necessary to get these results, that said it is Nick so who the fuck knows these days.

tl;dr MN OLPR I sent my resposne to you four times, HOW THE FUCK DO YOU MISS AN EMAIL!!!! REEEE I have to MAIL this fucking this how DARE you make me do this?! FUCK YOU, I'LL CALL DAVID A CUNT CAUSE ITS MY 1ST AMENDMENT RIGHT!

Yeah. This was really bold. Attacking the OLPR directly and directly calling them retards in a public statement is something many people would think twice about doing. As well, his decision to make a public defense of his actions that I suspect is going to be very different from his response sent to the OLPR is probably a bad idea.

He has also trapped himself into an aggressive all-out first amendment defense of his actions to the OLPR. I mean whatever he might say after this, he explained his position here in an absolutely clear way. He can't contradict what he said here and he can't take back what he said here.

Nick the Angry Drunk is an interesting new look for him. I hope he keeps it up because it promises all sorts of great content in future..

He's revolting looking enough but to see it chewing away like a rat while it lies is just disgusting. And why doe he keep making these stupid videos in his kitchen or whatever? It seems disrespectful. He can never be bothered doing anything in a serious or responsible way.

49MB for a 24 second clip? Thats a lot of size for such a short clip. Judging by the cursor, are you on Linux or Mac? If you are using the former, there are many free tools to cut the size by a lot; without sacrificing the quality.
Edit:
I ran it through a simple pass of ffmpeg (ffmpeg -i 4752225-c5a2e9a76c5a0b354e0acf0f842c53d4.mov outpu.mov) and now its only ~7MB.

We have this handy guide right here:

Personally I download with a browser plugin that uses Youtube-DL but you may need to use the command line.
For editing, I like Openshot a lot, and finally get the size down some with Handbrake since those are things I already use for other projects.

Now that Rumble has Crowder, and many other youtubers that are actually exhibiting some subscriber growth, the awkward conversations may have begun. I assume they're going to ramp up the conversations a lot in 6 months. Rumble likely has an inkling of how much of the annual crowd isn't renewing. They were all about giving their creators a lot of creative control, but now they have a failure on their hands.

You can see Rumble/Locals staff giving Nick Rekieta less attention in general. He used to have a fair amount of contact with the developers and his ideas sometimes got implemented. Now, not so much. He's been screaming for a "block" button in Locals chat forever.

I'm also guessing that Viva and Barnes may have been Nick's connection to Rumble (Barnes did some work for Rumble), and they may be regretting it at this point. They have now out-grown him on both Rumble and Youtube.

I can't wait for them to implement the block button, assuming they ever do. It would lead to the biggest Locals clusterfuck since they decided to own KF by spamming their own chat and shitting it up with nonsense. Especially if they implement it using the method where the blocked person can still see what the other is saying.

Here's my prediction:
-They implement a block button in the manner described above.
-It leads to a ton of confusion from people not knowing what anyone else is talking about because they can't see what they responded to.
-This leads to people temporarily unblocking someone to see what they are saying so they can get mad, respond, and re-block.
-Chat becomes borderline unusable when any particularly unstable person happens to be online.
-Chat is borderline unusable all the time because 90% of Nick's fanbase are particularly unstable.

Does the US legal profession not have rules about 'bringing the profession into disrepute'. I'm pretty sure that most UK professions have such a rule. You're expected to maintain the highest standards of public behaviour, and that would cover your posts on social media.

Reading through the Minnesota Rules of Professional Conduct that covers lawyers, I don't see any such explicit obligation. I would have thought publicly airing a video in which you repeatedly call a colleague a cunt would definitely constitute unprofessional behaviour, yet I can't find anything that appears to explicitly makes behaviour like this sanctionable.

Nick has probably had a conversation or two. The way he was treating the show until now was 'FUCK YOU! I DO WHAT I WANT!', and that could never last forever. Only a child would think so.

Nick has always struck me as the kind of guy to say 'I'll do it on my own then!'. At the start it was a bit admirable, but the longer it went on, the more it looked like pubescent rebellion. Nick actively curs himself off from support networks when he feels like they are imposing a standard of conduct or simple expectation upon him.

How many friends does Nick have IRL? How close is his family? To be honest, I feel a little bad. When he has problems, it is him am Kayla, but that is no way yo live life.

Don't American lawyers have a First Amendment right to be jackasses though?

I thought the First Amendment was all about the gubmint preventing you calling people a cunt? If you want to join Billy Johnson's No Girls Allowed Lolyer Club (Girls Now Allowed by order ob da Gubmint), surely it's fine for Billy and his pals to make a rule saying club members must not call girls cunts?

Am I misunderstanding this? Not an American, so the finer points of Constitutional Law may have passed me by.

The first amendment allows you free speech. Before America was independent you for example say that King George was a cunt without getting thrown in jail. The founding fathers decided that you should be allowed to call the King a cunt, that's just an insult.

However you can't say someone is a pedophile or a murderer or has AIDs. Those are accusing of someone of a crime that they didn't commit or a social disease that would hurt their public standing.

This isn't a private club for lawyers. It is the government body that investigates if lawyers are doing their ethical and legal duty to their clients. It's a gubmint body, so you shouldn't loose your lolyering loicence by calling another lawyer a tosser. It's still a really bad idea to insinuate the people investigating you of ethics complaints are acting in malice or incompetince. Same way it isn't illegal to call your current case judge outside of the courtroom a retard, but it is a terrible idea, especially when it is in a public manner.

@Null is quite the popular topic lately.
I was just doing some research on our fren here and it turns out they're probably a bit older than I assumed. Thanks @Lucky Wildcard!

So, he is chasing clout and trying to gather Rekieta alogs as an audience to fleece them for his pulp book? When he starts advertising his books in his Rekieta Retardation video, then you know the grift is real.

Happy Daylight Savings, Kiwi...

Noted and learning. Thanks to the Farmer who DMed me and walked me through it + the public comments too.

Pretty sure someone will clip it. His sperge out about Crowder and the Dilbert guy was beyond pubescent on his last Locals. Basically a kitchen tantrum.

Yup. 37 people there right now. 5 actively chatting about shit they already discussed on Discord. Way to grow your crowd, Nick.
Nick actively curs himself off from support networks when he feels like they are imposing a standard of conduct or simple expectation upon him.
Underappreciated wisdom here. The speed at which Art, Sally, et al got up in his DMs was rather amazing. (Art commented publicly about being on the phone live with him.) Cool, Nick. Surround yourself with all the best people.

....

In other Sunday morning news... y'know God's day, for some...

Anyone remember on Friday when Nick told Nina that his Locals was 'getting better' when she said it was too much for her?

These were posted an hour ago in Nick's Locals:

So, let's palate cleanse from that. This just made me laugh. I forget who's in the middle but can look it up. Short enough to be Wahoo but too well groomed...

The way he handles the fork while jamming food in his maw, simultaneously talking with his mouth open is just vile to me. With such a great table side manner, Balldo man has incredible prospects for a content shift by becoming the leader of the deathfat mukbangers. Better bulk up future Fatkieta.

The 'screw them' attitude would be admirable if he actually succeeded at what he set out to do (move away from Youtube and thrive on Rumble) and have growth and numbers to show for it. It really doesn't look like he is successful at all. Coming out saying he doesn't like streaming about law when that was what people started watching him for, after getting a contract didn't look like he has a coherent plan apart from the most short-term one.

The way he trash talked Rumble months after moving there spoke of entitlement, like they had to move the world for him without him having to show his value. I really think its how he's always lived his life and hadn't had a reason to change for 40 years. From what had been said about his background since college, he really hadn't achieved much and had everything handed to him.
