Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

-The Force Awakens is a rushed version of Legacy of the Force, complete with an evil son of Han Solo.
Reading this reminded me that Legacy of the Force has a chapter where Jacen effectively stares right through the fourth wall at the reader and says something to the effect of "I am a bad guy now. Bad guys should have red lightsabers, so I'm going to make a red lightsaber."

Still better than anything in Disney Star Wars, lmao

Which isn't necessarily the case for all Sith villains. I seem to remember Exar Kun keeping the blue lightsaber, he just made it a double-bladed one. Revan also kept the purple lightsaber when he went nuts in SWTOR.

Still better than anything in Disney Star Wars, lmao
At least I can accept Ben Solo going over to the other side because his Jedi uncle tried to off him. Real life has no shortage of psychopaths who were abused as children, so someone like Kylo Ren doesn't really strike me as unrealistic.

Jacen Solo, on the other hand, was loved by the Jedi and by his own family, and yet he betrays them for some Sith witch who's done nothing for him, just because of some political rabble-rouser (Thrackan Sal-Solo) leading Corellia and its allied worlds astray. Jacen could've just paid some schmuck bounty hunter like Boba Fett to blow that idiot's head clean off his shoulders and gone back to meditating; the Jedi of the past did the same thing by hiring the Genoharadan to "take care" of troublesome individuals who pestered the Republic.

The only thing from the Disney AU that soundly beats LOTF in sheer stupidity would be Rise of Skywalker, and that's because it made no sense with Rey literally doing what Palpatine told her to, but she still gets off scot-free instead of becoming Palpatine's new host. Not to mention that the new planet-killing Star Destroyers were hilariously easy to destroy. But even with The Last Jedi, what that film did to Luke Skywalker, Legacy of the Force did with Jacen Solo and the entire Alliance to Restore the Republic.

The funniest thing about it is that the person making the complaints is a man, so the breasts article doesn't impact him at all, unless he wants a separate article for man-boobs. Not to mention that he looks like someone who could be mistaken for a sex offender. It wouldn't surprise me at all to see that face in a news report about someone who got caught touching women inappropriately.

I hope so very badly Henry Cavill can make Warhammer 40k popular and just pulverize the shit out of Disney. They don't know how to deliver what people want and they would be blown the fuck out of the water if 40k was done even halfway decent.

When was the last time we had a proper war in star wars?
Disney deserves to have a new space opera franchise that totally isn't a Star Wars rip off to take its place instead. Shit, at this point the segments TV shows would have that were "not Star Wars" feel more like they belong than anything from 2012.

They tried that already and they failed.

This is still the biggest box office bomb ever made.
The funny thing is that this movie basically conformed to the MCU formula. Man gets transported to a different place, discovered he has superpowers, bumbles about in a world he doesn't understand, and there's a big action set piece at the end.

That film should have done better than it did. While people here will go, "no it's shit." I have found most people tended to think it was decent or quite enjoyed it.

Much has been written about the horrible marketing campaign. The marketing done by inexperienced people. Overseen by newly brought on Disney Executives who didn't care about the film. With little to no incentive from Disney to push it because it would just be competition and take money away from their soon-to-be owned Star Wars. So it just looked like generic stuff, no one who wasn't familiar with the source material had a clue what the film was or was about.

Then it got a negative buzz. No one went and saw it.

I actually enjoyed this movie back when it was in theatres. The 3D sucked admittedly, and when I read A Princess of Mars, they did tone down the explicit content. But this film was still good, imo.

Don't know why people weren't interested. Maybe moviegoers are just dumb.

Since they've announced that they are milking Tron media again, I personally hope they go back to raping only their original IPs instead and just leave SW and Marvel to die or sell them off (but we all know these rats are too proud for that). Its so ironic that they only revived Tron just to make it their primary franchise for boys only to quickly abandoned it despite the success of Legacy in order to make Star Wars their main boy franchise, but instead they decide to make it a franchise for neo-fems, troons and Twilight fans that retcons everything imaginable just to satisfy their completely aimless agenda, as well as Iger, JJ and Filoni's egos.

Debatable as SquareSoft had betted and lost their brand new $500 million game/FX studio on their FF: Spirits Within movie not sucking at the box office.
Maybe it's because that movie did not have anything recognizable from from the Final Fantasy franchise in it. Seriously, they could have named it anything else.

my thread involving the pic "nerd culture was a mistake" I shared earlier, did some numbers on /tv/
Nice to see that they still honor the memory of Darth Culator. Admittedly, Wookieepedia was still a shit source of incomplete and inaccurate info even under his rule (although that was more the fault of those around him) and sometimes it seemed like he had a stick up his ass, but he knew not to take shit from anyone, especially fags, trannies, puritans and disneyphiles who got upset over official pieces of licensed art.

Also speaking of wookieepedo bullshit, one of their admins had their bot remove all inter-language links to the russki Star Wars wiki because they were making fun of wookieepedia's descent into lgbtroondom and because said wiki refused to prioritize disney canon over og stuff.

Honestly. I really scratched my head as to why this movie had "Final Fantasy" in its title despite having nothing to do with it. Hard sci-fi setting, no Chocobos, no Cid, no summons, fucking nothing.

Oh surely planet earf having a lifestream or whatever the fuck that was was sufficient to make it final fantasy!

I loved the movie (the fact that the casting director had the entirety of HBO's Rome in his rolodex didn't hurt) right up until the denument, where he gets transported back (?) to Earth and everything stops making sense.
