Bank Run Watch 2023 after Silicon Valley Bank shutdown - Over 97% of SVB's assets were not FDIC insured

Hilariously now failed Signature Bank included Barney Frank as a long time board member. Y'know the Frank in "Dodd Frank" regulations. This probably tells you all you need to know about the system.
I thought this guy died years ago. I'm amazed that any congressman retired at any time but his deathbed.

What's the old saying? "The only thing that could get you out of office was to find a dead hooker/intern or live boy in your closet". Barney had some issues and was quietly made to go away. His "partner" was a pimp running a gay ,and rumored underaged, male prostitution ring out of Barney's DC townhouse.

Anything that ever came close, was probably the 30 years war and the Post WW2 years of 1946 to 1950 for the defeated nations.
Nah, Bronze Age Collapse is probably the best comparison. A true civilizational collapse, where pretty much every power, government and structure outside of the Egyptians and Assyrians appears to have simply ceased to exist under external and economic pressures (The tin trade collapsing and the sea peoples ransacking everything), and those that didn't cease to exist regressed to tiny pocket realms struggling to get by compared to their peaks, and everyone else more or less regressed to local tribes and villages as the cities were abandoned.

So, has anyone started compiling a list of all businesses fucked over by the clown fiesta plowing off a cliffside so I know who to laugh at and who to file final parts orders with
Depending on how many orders of impact you wanted to include, most everyone. The problem with losing a major technology platform bank is that most everyone in technology had some exposure to it, and everyone is exposed within a couple steps to that just from dependence on software as a service products.

Whenever there is discussion and speculation about what a societal collapse would be like, I tend to base my views on this:

https://prephole.com/surviving-a-year-of-shtf-in-90s-bosnia-war-selco-forum-thread-6265/

Since this is apparently the experiences of a guy who actually lived through this type of situation for a year in Bosnia,
Some variation of this larp gets posted when ever these types of threads pop up on different forums. A version as already been posted in this very thread. It reads like some fanfic from the old 2000's Frugal Squirrels board

Two more banks have been affected, might have to change the title of the thread.

Also Chat GBT may predict that the economy may crash on March 15th, the ides of March.

The absolute state of retards going off to the races about muh mad max jfc
yeah but muh gold

If you don't have at least a half dozen people you can trust with your life living nearby (aka an actual community), it doesn't matter how many guns and freeze dried potato you have. You're fucked.

So basically everyone on this board (including me) is fucked, wow that sucks

Anyways nothing's gonna happen yet. It's likely we will see several major depressions before anthing truly civilization-changing happens.

I mean, if people are hoarding gold to trade with in the apocalypse, you may as well take that brick of gold and beat someone to death with it, because gold only matters if civilization exists. A total civilization collapse really hasn't happened. Shit gets wildly fucked, but humanity has powerful hierarchies in place. Even the black death didn't collapse society, nor did the Fall of Rome.
I could see a stash of small, low demonination ($5, $20, $50) valued gold COINS being useful for trading, but the idea of sockpiling bullion is just insanity, it'll make you a big fat target. In a mild-to-medium SHTF scenario you will be wanting to trade for mostly small things that can obviously retain value if/when things get back to semi-normal.
