There's a grain of truth to it, but like anything that paints women in a good light, feminists take the statistic and run with it. The military figured out that women are easier to train when it comes to shooting than men, but once trained, men go back to being the superior shots. It has nothing to do with a woman's biology and everything to do with the odds of you being exposed to firearms prior to military service Many more men than women fire a weapon before military service, so there's often a period where bad habits have to be trained out of the man. Women more often than not have never touched a gun before military service so you can jump right into fundamentals.Well that's a load of shit; there's plenty of studies showing men outperform women on spatial tasks.
As for shooting, if you're at a listed range, it's simple math; if it's an unmarked range, spatial awareness and guestimation is what you rely on. Everything else is just practice to get your proper grip, proper sight alignment, not flinching when the gun shoots, and follow through. Sure that's a simplistic explanation, but those are main points on how to not botch your shot.
As for men wanting to "embarrass women," it's called competition, it's something guys do.
There's actually a lot of biological factors that hurt women when shooting. Specifically women with tits bigger than a B cup. Breasts make finding the natural point of aim difficult in most shooting positions, where in turn, their pelvic bones make the kneeling position more comfortable to hold. "Combat" shooting is even more difficult for them because wearing body armor changes how you shoulder the rifle, and it's usually on the upslope of your firing side titty. I've seen women with short arms and big tits not even be able to hold their rifle in front of them with body armor on.
