How is this wholesome?
Is this even real? It reminds me of that picture of that old painting of some jap (I think) woman who did that not to disturb a sleeping cat. Fake and gay history is really popular now so some faggot making it up for reddit points seems far more likely than this ever actually happening.

The whole "you need to move out at 18 on the dot and get a degree" comes off as a boomer meme and a grift to me. I get the point of making sure kids grow up into adults but having witnessed the consequences on the housing market and education prices and loans it seems more likely it was pushed by bankers, media and elites as a way to poomp the numbers and grow GDP by encouraging consooming on a massive scale. There is nothing wrong with staying with your parents a while longer if you grow up and help with the house and all, this idea you either leave or are a complete deadbeat neet seem absurd. Didn't happen in Europe, nor did it happen in most of the planet. Still doesn't.

Dunno maybe I am reading too much into it.
The problem though is some of the people who could probably benefit most from the security of staying home or financial support from family are the same ones who probably have such a shitty, abusive family life that debt and homelessness seem almost beneficial in comparison.

Did some research and yes, at least if you believe stories from just before 0 AD regarding rulers.

The actual humor here is that said Emperor is basically only remembered for being corrupt, weak, controlled by his mom, and of course, a fag. He was such a wimpass that he died at age 24, and was a major catalyst for the collapse of the Han dynasty, which happened about 10 years after his death.

But he was a gay guy and treated his lover well (and nepotistically promoted him a bunch), so all is well and wholesome chungus 100!

I meant more in the real world, but fair yeah. Was just pointing out how little of such an apparent common thing I've seen actually happen. Sort of like how women are apparently constantly being told to smile. Literally never seen it happen once in-person my entire life.
There's a difference between your parents telling you that now that you have a job you can get your own place and them throwing you out on the street. In the real world, getting kicked out at 18 only happens to people who are total losers and whose parents are tired of supporting their lazy and ungrateful asses. In cultures where multi-generational households are common, they would still be kicked out of the family home for being a useless leech that no one likes.

Redditors are likely to be that type of person (obese, drug-addicted, unemployed, single, no non-consoomer hobbies, never does any chores, etc.) and therefore complain about their "cruel" parents more than the average person, even though their parents were likely too nice to them while they were growing up.

That's so weird to me that people don't want to leave home at 18. If I could have left at 15 I would have. Believe it or not, your parents want to enjoy their life again at some point after having kids and a 28 year old with no education and a dead end job living in their basement is detrimental to that.

Getting kicked out at 18 doesn't make you a loser. Getting kicked out at 32 does.

Or in other words:

"Mom, I can't afford rent because I'm going to college (nearby)."
Fine
"Mom, I can't afford rent until I finish my trade certification."
Also fine
"Mom, I can afford rent but I want to continue the family business."
Wonderful
"Mom, since you're ok with it I'll stay here while I save up for a house."
Of course, remember to wash the dishes.

"Mom, I can't afford rent because I'm a horrible artist so my Patreon only makes $30 a month."
Have you considered working in construction?
"Mom, I can't afford rent because I'm a full-time reddit moderator"
Get the fuck out

I looked this up, because it sounded fake and gay. Seems real, but holy shit it didn't end well.

TLDR; Big Gay Ai appointed his pet Dong to a position power but Benis Boy was a screw up. Anyone who pointed this out was imprisoned, however. The Flame Emperor suddenly dies and the boytoy is stripped of power and shamed into killing himself by the late Emperor's mother. As a final 'fuck you' the mom digs Power Bottom back up 'just to make sure' the fucker is dead, buries him back on a prison ground, before exiling Booty Boy's entire family.

Very wholesome indeed. 😸

Amazing.
If only it remained out for good.
Disagree if only because the reddit slime may then find their way to other sites. Best to keep them contained in their bubble where they can be safely monitored and ridiculed.

I'm trying to envision a Guardian Angels v2.0, circa now, on the West Coast. That shit would be considered a militia and never even get to matching satin coach jacket stage.

This is a good one. The hecking wholsomerino left cant’t be nazis we’ve spent the last decade calling conservatives nazis

This one is interesting because I haven’t heard anything about this before today and you know if a Republican was doing this they would be wailing about how she was destroying democracy and a fascist

Alright, let's not pretend that there aren't actually just shitty parents out there who at best do nothing to help their children build the tools to live independently and at worst are sabotaging, actually abusive people.
I moved out at 18 and did okay. But having shitty family that actively make it hard to actually accomplish shit or put all of their attention on the actual shitty fuck-up family members is absolutely a thing. I don't give a shit if that sounds like a reddit take. Shitty/abusive families exist and it's not a woke cope to say that.
Ironic considering those same types also are pants-shittingly terrified of their kids throwing their ass in a home at a certain age.
