On the topic of views, its a little funny to me the Special Sneeding Operation thread has almost 3x views than the Hohol Copium thread. I guess most lurkers prefer the Russia thread because its less schitzo.

They talked about "protecting equity" in reference to that downed reaper drone.

They also referenced climate change when the drone was pissed on by the flanker.

Maybe the climate change they seek is profiting off the nuclear apocalypse basically since it will solve the human population crisis that they keep moaning about and will turn a lot of areas uninhabited for eons.

One thing I like from that video is how fast the fuel evaporates and turns to cloud in a matter of seconds.
I wonder if water would do the same that high up in the atmosphere.

This is exactly it. There were two groups of people back then - those who you could have a sane conversation with, and those you couldn't. The former ranged widely in their actual opinions about the war, its justifications, the facts on the ground, and the likely outcomes. You could disagree with just about everything they believed and still talk to them in a measured, reasonable manner. Then there was the other group. If you had any shade of nuance when it came to conflict, or even a basic understanding of the area's history which clashed with the official narrative and caused some degree of dissonance, you were just met with raving hostility and vaguely simian shrieking.

The thread is actually a much nicer read now that it's been split. I can count the amount of posters from the 'other side' that I miss on one, maybe two hands, as someone who's fairly neutral and doesn't see a point in fanning the flames of this shithole slapfight.

Its already been implied that Ukraine is going to get cut off if they don't start making strides soon. Because well, now there's a fucking banking crisis on top of an inflation crisis and nobody has time to care about their Ukraine flags when eggs are hitting $12. Plus the CIA has been more worried about China now, not to mention public support in the West is waning and disappearing very fast.

Jet fuel is highly oxidizing and is superheated, so if it becomes a cloud like that, its almost like chaff, it gets into the drone's sensitive electronics and effectively fries them. You have to be EXTREMELY close to the drone to pull something like this off, which is why people are memeing because it takes a lot of skill to do without smashing into your target. The pentagon also originally said a jet 'smashed' into the propeller and this is actually way more metal.

Plus the Pentagon's bitchmade response to a fucking foreign drone inside foreign airspace to spy for a foreign war is fucking hilarious and insane at the same time.

To my knowledge, afterburners work by dropping fuel into the exhaust nozzle and igniting it, so it works a bit like a rocket engine. If you disable that ignition, you just shart fuel mist.

The Su-27 has massive internal fuel tanks on both sides of the airframe so no he was just dumping fuel from both right and left dump valves beneath the engines; they have two valves because the jet has two isolated fuel systems for redundancy on each side and while pumping fuel between them is possible emergency fuel jettison must be quick. If you look at picture jettison ports are the little black circles just behind the black part of the engine where it still is black on side. Also just because a jet engine isn't in afterburner (where you can see flames) doesn't mean it's not working at high power; most jets can go up to 80-90% of thrust before they enter afterburner. He was also using the angle of attack to get the jet wash to push the fuel down into the drone. The normal jettison is just a high pressure stream not a mist effect, by using thrust angle he did he was using the jet wash to fan out the fuel.
