Very minor thing, but it's very interesting how scratchy his voice sounded as the interview kept going. I'm listening to the beginning portion of the interview I missed and his voice sounded ok. More than likely it was probably because he was getting more rattled and stressed(which was funny to see lol).

Something about people who repeat themselves on YT comments/streams like this is really pathetic to me. It just looks like the poster is screaming "please notice me!" there are a lot of Derich clones out there when it comes to this, not just in Phil's stream either. Desperate to get noticed.

what we've been telling Dave for years: get a actual job! Phil being Phil, he said that "No job is going to want to hire a 40 year old out of the job market for over ten years that's gonna pay what I make." Adam being so fucking BASED, he said " Not with that attitude they won't. You sound like you've given up." Phil SHUT immediately up RIGHT after that. When Phil goes quiet and moves on from a subject, it's the truth.

That's not the truth. If Phil worked hard his entire life, he would have never had a $100k/year job which like the top 15% of men earn. He'd probably be working some low-level job in a bank his entire life. He's not smart, talented or marketable in any way and has no connections other than his father who gave him the helicopter job.

Phil had to shut up because he cannot admit his weaknesses.

Ngl, it sounded a lot like he was on the verge of tears during the later parts of the stream.
Who knows, maybe some of the things Craig said to him actually hit pretty close to home for him and he realized for a split second what kind of miserable life he actually is living.

I mean the part where they suggested therapy, saying that his 6-days stream per week lifestile can't be healthy in the long run, as well as pointing out his transparent mobile game addiction.
Even the "King of Hate" wouldn't be able to brush something like that off. Heck, even I was starting too feel a tad bit bad for him at this point.

Pretty good to hear the sentiment is that they grilled him. Didn't catch the live and probably won't watch the 5 hour podcast myself but I'm sure we're about to be eating good from the clips.

The thing that blew me away most in this interview was the tax/business expenses segment.

This dumbass admitted on stream that he thinks his mortgage is a business expense (Probably because muh ahffice is in the house), that he doesn't know how much he is actually spending or how much he is making, and that he doesn't care because it's his tax guys job. Even if I had a guy doing my fucking taxes I would be tracking what I am spending and how much I am making. He constantly deflected on his tax guy and would follow it up immediately with praise for him because HE KNEW he was talking like his tax guy is a lazy retard who doesn't know shit. Going back to his Project 7 lore about losing money on it due to props that never got used, Phil has no fucking clue about how to spend money appropriately for LITERALLY ANY VENTURE. He just sees shit and buys it, a literal child's mentality.

This guy allegedly has a business degree, holy shit. I actually want to see him open up his restaurant because he would run it into the ground right away.

At the risk of posting too much, here's the thing with the mortgage and the business expenses and everything. In DSP's world there are 3 different documents that he plays a shell game with when pressed about the absurdity of his finances: his personal taxes as a sole proprietor of what is essentially himself because I'm not entirely sure he is classified as an LLC, his living expenses from the bankruptcy that were itemized, and the business expenses that weren't itemized that ranged from $5k-$9k depending on what brought his entire assets within line of being destitute for purposes of his bankruptcy.

Depending on which lie he wants to throw out, he just substitutes either say his 2015 tax filings on the podcast or in the bankruptcy phone hearing his living expenses one being rather vague and the other being itemized and similar in size to his supposed business expenses. I can't tell you if it's purposeful that he swings around that hard on his finances because between Occam's Razor and not attributing to malice what one can attribute to stupidity it's all in the realm of believability, but I can tell you that because of it I don't think anybody can get a straight answer out of DSP without showing all that information to him and pointing it out like he's a child what you're talking about which nobody has attempted to do as far as I'm aware because I don't buy the story that Nancy had him itemize his business expenses and she was satisfied.

He's not admitting to tax fraud per se, because he's willfully ignorant on his financial state outside of what is immediately in his balance. I do love to death that the man tried to "haha checkmate atheists" the idea of him spending money from his BoA account with the thing that was kind of suspected he did all along was pull his PayPal money out into his bank account as early as he got it, cementing at least in my mind that he is well aware of the risk/benefit of doing that and more often than not will draw out his donation monies the night of.

Also, they could have pressed him harder but they did a good job of riding the line so that he wouldn't ragequit. All in all I think Pigbert was a good sport but doubling down on his bullshit was a bad look for a man (pig) who already looks really bad.

I'm looking forward to seeing James Rolfe on the next show, he's become quite the lolcow in the last few years and he is bound to say or so something wildly autistic. Probably nothing as damning as that behind the scenes video but basically every time he does something outside of the AVGN character, he says or does something worth making fun of. He can't even pronounce most words correctly.

Cows will cow.

Personally I feel like his sloppy, lazy lie about it not even being his account is the biggest win from the interview. Anyone willing to believe that after a.) Phil flipped out and was in FULL damage control when the leaks happened, and b.) all the charges painting the exact picture of his lifestyle we had all speculated on, is braindead.

He picked the worst, most blatant lie possible by saying it wasn’t his.

One more because I see a lot of people saying they were fence riding him a bit too much. For fairness's sake Craig at least twice tried to level with DSP without straight out berating and accusing him of lying that it'd be in his best interests to just come clean with the thing and he'd feel better and people would be accepting and forgiving of his addiction in a tone that was unmistakably "you're lying, i know you're lying, you know you're lying, you're making yourself look bad on my show and I want to make you the hero here please just please stop being this fucking retarded" in tone.
