I never said being lazy when it comes to computers is a virtue or not. Laziness allows you to come up with good solutions, but projecting on the internet doesn't. This is exactly the same projection pulled in that anime thread where you sperged about how much you hated anine because it didn't allow you to score pussy and thought it degenerate or some shit. You are extremely thin skinned to keep up this mentality and it's very apparent you are a broken person with many issues you need to sort out. Not because you use Windows mind. I know a lot of good hardworking people that use Windows and I'm perfectly fine with that. Not my problem. It's a fucking OS: use what works for you. I do have a problem with people who can't let shit go and project all their issues onto other people like a whiny bitch. And you are exactly that: emotionally fragile, bitchy, and an absolute mess of a person judging by what you posted of your love life and all the anecdotes you posted on this entire site. It would probably do you better to sort yourself mentally before you focus on what OS I or anyone else uses let alone you. Like who fucking cares: I have to work with with what I have to work with. I got a windows 11 laptop from a liquidation sale. I'm impressed with the ease of use - I'd forgotten how intuititive it is navigating to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHING/WINDOWS/HIVE/AH74_837HGN/ and setting UP_ID23 to a QWORD of DEADBEEF so it stops re-installing a graphics driver that blue screens the computer when I try to watch my linus tech tips on youtube.

Disappointing. That was actually the great thing about Wine when I used it on my old laptop; after the initial installation and setup of directories/paths so Windows software wouldn't have an aneurysm at the file system's complete lack of a C: drive, anyone using my computer had no means of knowing whether the program running was OS X native or a Windows program without me specifically telling them. The only real downside was compatibility; the older the software, the more likely it ran essentially flawlessly while newer software tended to be either slighty glitchy or completely broken.

If they've fucked up Wine so that it no longer "just works" then they fucking deserve all of the mockery and criticism they get.

Inkscape has the superior meme making capability, and it's got the morally superior license. It just takes a little work learning how to use scipy/numpy in order to implement your own kernels and plug ins. Plus it's Linux native!

Edit: I want to make clear, anything you can do with photoshop you can do with inkscape as long as you did your undergrad in computer science, your masters in electical engineering, and your PhD in mathematics with a focus on topology.

Literally just use Ubuntu. It's the most compatible Linux distro with most hardware very simple to install. You might have to do some search engine searches for particular drivers, but from my own experience, it was nothing too egregious. They even have a wiki that shows which hardware is compatible with the distro.

Also, it's not 1999. You can reaize your disks while you are instslling so you can dual boot Windows and Linux simultaneously if you wish. This has been a thing since the 2000s at least.

I know about duel booting but I wouldn't want to keep 2 operating systems. I wish I could choose what to keep on my drive like it would delete all my programs but keep my pictures.

Fixed that for you. Plus, Inkscape is meant for svg type images, not to replace Photoshop. I don't know why it's so hard for some people to do basic Google searches nowadays. You want me not to call you retarded but, what non-retarded person doesn't look up basic questions they have on Google at least or just as them to someone that know this shit?

You can do two things since a distro like Ubuntu supports the Windows filesystem by default (if you are sane and not using a libre distro):

1) Backup all of your photos and documents to an HDD and transfer it to your Linux install.

2) Install Linux in such a way that you make space for all your Documents and Photos but still keep Windows. Then transfer your files over from the Windows dual boot (by mounting it in Linux and then transferring them) and then finally getting rid of the Windows drive.

Personally, I'd go with option 1 if you really want to install Linux on your system. How much storage is your all your data using on Windows (minus programs and shit like that)?
